Well, The McCanns haven't lost.  That's for sure.

As I read this, the judge is saying that the book never said that the parents were responsible for their daughter's death. AFAIK, the lawyers for the defendents are optimistic about the rulings today. Perhaps you should save your celebrations till you get all of your information. There are about 36 facts to be proven and more than one about damages done to the parents and most were NOT proven.

Considering how many posters were claiming the mccanns would lose....this is fantastic news

Yes, sheds a very different light on the situation than is being touted on here.

Thank you to Astro for the information.

Why start at number 11. Bet 1 to 10 don't suit. No 18, 19, 20 & 23.

13. Because of the statements made by defendant Gonçalo Amaral in the book, in the documentary and in the interview to Correio da Manhã, authors Kate MacCann and Gerald MacCann suffer permanent anguish, insomnia, lack of appetite, anxiety and irritability, preoccupation and indefinable fear?

Proved.

Don't worry sceptics, Blacksmith will be along shortly to soothe your furrowed brows with his unique spin on today's events - basically the McCanns are toast, or something like that.  @)(++(*

You forgot to add the following statement from the judge:
The judge adds that this psychological state is pre-existent to the book, the documentary and the interview and was not caused by the book. Nonetheless, it cannot be reasonable to believe that the book, the documentary and the interview had no effect on the couple, i.e. It had an effect but that is perfectly normal.

BTW, the lawyers can now present their written allegations with regard to these facts and then the verdict will be given in about two months.

The following statement is just fluff.  Was damage proven to have been caused by the book or not?  YES.  Nothing you can say changes that fact.  Spin it any which way you want.
