I reckon that if the McCanns only get 1 million in damages posters here will be calling it a victory for amaral

Well if you're really,really lucky.

They won't get a penny, and won't pay Amaral's fees or the other parties, other than their own.

If they didn't have to provide such evidence in Lisbon what did all the witnesses go there for?
I wasn't aware that they were providing evidence of medical examinations?

What medical examination did Lord McAlpine have to undergo when he took Wotssername to court then?

McAlpine only claim defamation, not that he was caused mental problems. Bercow was defendedby CR.

I'm not sure they knew what they were there for. This may be part of the problem. &%+((£

So you accept it's a victory... as many on this forum were claiming that the mccanns had failed to prove their case I see this as a great result...

There is no victory.

MADELEINE IS STILL MISSING.

The only people to have gained anything are the legal profession.

I suppose that even if they are awarded 1 euro you will be claiming it a tremendous victory.

Victory (if, indeed, it is victory) will signify cruel and duplicitous double-crossing of the McCanns' best efforts to find Madeleine alive and bring her home safe.

Not everyone (including on the Portuguese side!) is guilty of that charge.

And not everyone (including on the English side!) is innocent.
