The direction I took however was not that of a supporter of either camp.

#you are quite clearly a supporter of the sceptic camp....why are you so loathe to admit it

Surprised no, disturbed yes to the extent that the child to all intents and purposes becomes the last consideration. Oh plenty of lip service is given to be sure but as long as one side can jeer at the other .............. &%+((£
In a world where a football match can be the catalyst that sets two countries at war over old sores, nothing comes as much of a surprise anymore.

bit of a cheap and misgiuded post...whilst I disagree with and dislike some of the most extreme on here I'm sure what we all really want is justice for Maddie...on that we are all agreed

I think justice for Madeleine is finding out what may have happened to her and hopefully finding enough evidence to bring those responsible to trial.

Incompatible with that aim in my opinion, are those who indulge in polls objecting to taxpayers' money being spent on what Scotland Yard have told us remains an active investigation into the case of a missing child.

I have never heard of such an objection designed to obstruct law enforcement from doing their job when there are stated avenues of investigation still open.
Has anyone else ever heard of an example?
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

Weren't you surprised to discover that there were camps where a missing child was concerned?  I was astounded.

The camps are very very old news, they were the result of "supporters" telling people what was what and what to think...we are talking about may 2007 here on long gone forums...and of course the mccanns and co "campaigns"
