What nonsense.  Until Crecheman came forward to be eliminated BOTH sightings were potentially of equal importance.  Were the McCanns meant to be clairvoyant and know in advance that Crecheman was an innocent father?

Their own investigators told them to concentrate on Smithman rather than Tanner's sighting.

One thing we can all agree on is the fact that the most prominent suspect picture on the official "Find Madeleine" site today is innocent crecheman:  http://findmadeleine.com/campaigns/unidentified_people.html

Not really, she could have climbed over the baby gate assuming of course that it was even closed.

If she did climb over the gate, Angelo. She would find that her feet would not reach the stair on the other side and would inevitably fall.
Is this the accident you think that she may have had?
Or else as you say she may have found the gate open and wandered off...........meeting with an accident (hole, traffic) or even  picked up by an opportunist?

They are entitled to their opinion and beliefs, the same as we are. And they were there!

Do you not find it convenient that nobody saw this elusive Crecheman except Tanner supposedly yet he claimed to have walked from main reception up to block 5 with a scantily clad child on a cold night?

He actually walked in a huge circle of half a mile rather than taking the shortest route. To be where he was seen he had to walk past the supermarket to join the road on the opposite side of the Tapas complex from reception, go north up that road then turn right into the road in front of blocks 4 and 5. The direct route was to come up the road past the Tapas reception then turn right.

When your child's welfare is in danger and all the trained individuals tasked to find her tell you that Smithman is a more important sighting than Tannerman don't you think that it may be a tad egotistical to not only feel that you know better but give your amateur opinion as such prominence as the McCanns have ?

I see your point. But in that case shouldn't the 2 pictures of crecheman, and the 2 pictures of smithman, be equally publicised on that official site? The 2 smithman pictures are hidden away and it is difficult to find them.

as I have pointed out...everyone seems to have supported Ashya King's parents in ignoring the advice of the UK professionals....your attitude of "professionals know best" is extremely outdated and uneducated

She was old enough to open that gate and tall enough to climb over it should the need arise.  Once in the street in the dark anything could have happened.

Interestingly, the tracker dogs followed her scent out the front door, left along to block 4, through the gap and along the path coming out just up the road from mini reception then across the public road to the car park where they lost it.

I find the whole thing highly implausible.  Nobody could walk with a child in outstretched arms for any great distance, something just doesn't add up here???
