The translation errors which no one could document on the thread about translation errors? Who decides which are the important bits anyway? I think the inconsistent bits are the important bits. It was partly those bits which lead to the McCanns being suspected.

the police decide which are the important bits...it's impossible to know the errors without having the actual words spoken by the mccanns..which were not recorded....but we know errors in translations are to be expected...hence the term lost in translation

I think this has been done to death on other threads and is off topic, so I will not be posting about it again.

This thread is about alternative points of view. That's what the internet allows, it's no place for those who demand to go unchallenged.

It's a playground for bullies who know the teachers will never be around to punish them. Time to call in the US Marines.

and that proves........................?

Well unless they all wanted the loo at regular intervals of every half an hour,  they were checking the children.

If you don't believe it Stephen then you don't believe the McCann's friends or Dianne Webster,  I can't think of any reason why they would lie.

Bullies are usually cowards who back down when challenged.

That would be Fiona. Fiona didn't get to the apartment until around 10:10 after Dianne had already tried lifting the shutters so Amy didn't arrive there until later. Emma Knights came at 10:20 and only Kate and Fiona were present.

Emma met Amy and Lyndsay at the Tapas at 10.17 and they began the missing person process. Emma went to get a description of the girl and her clothes which Fiona gave, Kate being too upset. I wonder how Fiona described the pyjamas as she hadn't seen them? Interesting bit here; Emma seems to have missed the GNR completely.

I remember that the police arrived between 00.00 and 00.30, entered by the main door and went to the kitchen with Gerry.

Amy Tierney said Gerry called the police. Not sure what she's saying here. Did Gerry go to call the police 20 minutes before Amy got to the apartment? Was she there at 10.25-10.30 then? That's 30-35 minutes before the GNR arrived. Gerry was out and about at 10.05-10.10 then?

The witness confirms that the girl's father went to the reception to call the police as soon as her disappearance was noticed and that twenty minutes had passed. The GNR took 30 – 35 minutes to arrive.

This where a reconstruction a day ortwo later would have been so useful in sorting out the details and  time sequence more precisely

Bullies are weak cowardly people. That's why they bully, to hide it and try to look brave and strong. I can't imagine the Mccanns being easily bullied, they don't come across as shrinking violets to me.

it is very easy to be bullied online by anonymous people who know all your details yet they can remain anonymous....it must be very hard for the mccanns

I imagine it's difficult to bully someone who isn't online though, and the Mccanns have told everyone they don't use social media. Others took it upon themselves to create an online presence on their behalf.

Yet they thought writing  their time lines on scraps of paper more important than looking for Madeleine.

Likewise, no independent verification they checked when they said they did.

The fact that the online abuse is there is bad enough.......there are plenty of truly libellous posts online but it is impossible to police the internet fully
