Mysterious disappearance - no it was not , as the father of the boy was babysitting him and also left a note saying he had taken him (see various US press reports)

Found alive after 13 years - there was no suggestion the father took him to kill him, that would be a bit stupid after leaving the note, quite why the mother thought he might be dead is anyones guess

So, not a stranger abduction...the only connection to this case is the idea that she may be found one day but totally the wrong story to tag onto...but the UK papers have form in making very tenuus and sometimes ridiculous links

Sadly, this does not relate to Maddie's case as her's was not a parental abduction. It can only raise false hope. I wish the parents had answered my letter in June 2008, that could have resulted in a rescue. The fact is that nobody was listening, either the help-lines, the parents, or Leicester Police. I had nearly found the place in the spring, but couldn't finish the job due to a major breakdown. A return to the search area would have been over 1000 miles plus the ferry.
Why some support for expenses couldn't be given, when the public had donated millions for the search is something I still cannot understand. I felt at the time they had thrown away their best chance of finding dear Madeleine. I had a strong feeling of urgency.
I have never been wrong when police aren't involved, yet it is they who have effectively blocked their own investigation by ignoring my work. I have emailed all & sundry, written to Rt. Hon. Gordon Brown, (then PM), 'phoned the News of the World, replied to many articles, even emailed the European Police Union.
I can only hope now they will get some proper digging done after wading through all that B.S. It will now be a harder task with tons of earth to shift as the landowner apparently got wind of my discovery.
There are two other 'mysteries' I have the solutions to that have been treated the same way.
Look at it this way, there are people who can do amazing things like composing big orchestral symphonies or hit 'pop' songs; paint beautiful artworks in perfect detail. I can't do those, but I have a collection of talents which I bring together to find things that others miss. I am not wasting any more of my time & money looking for missing people until I get due recognition. My work is due equal attention as any so-called detective agencies'.

Hello Adrian, welcome. You are not the first person to say you have been ignored by all these contacts.

You can try contacting the Metropolitan Police, who are now investigating.

You made a discovery that the landowner got wind of?  What discovery was that then?

I totally agree.

There is no comparison whatsoever with the mccann case.

I had a look at a few of the US press and newsreels online. They don't make the McCann connection.
It's not reported in US the same way it is here.

Yes, the point of the story is to show that even after many years a child can be returned safe and well. These cases all appear to happen in the USA where disappearing is so much easier!

In this instance he was neither unsafe nor unwell and not wishing to be too picky he is an adult not a child and according to US reports is supportive of his father.
