As there was speculation on the internet that the children had been sedated it would obviously remove any suspicion against them if she told the world that she had suspicions on the night which she reported to the police.
That worked well then.  @)(++(*

It's quite amazing the variety of excuses some people will make for the strange behaviour of this couple. One argues that they were so traumatised and panicked that they didn't know if they were coming or going. Another argues that as trained doctors they knew there was no need to panic about the twins. Why report how 'very concerned' they were then? They either were or they weren't.
You're very black and white aren't you?

They were in a foreign country and their child goes missing,   believe me I would be straight on the phone to  my family,  they needed to know and the McCann's needed support.

Kate McCann said in her book she did ask the Police to test the twins,   whether you believe that or not is entirely up to you.   I for one do not believe they would jeopardise the lives of their twins,  they were obviously cherished and loved,  you seem to think they didn't care.

It's not a matter of whether I believe her or not, it's a fact that not one other witness mentioned her doing it and neither did she, or her husband, mention it in any of their statements. Do you really believe that if the police officers on the scene had ignored her pleas to provide medical assistance for her twins and jeopordised their welfare, Kate wouldn't have kicked up merry hell afterwards ?

Did Kate ever claim she begged police to provide medical assistance for her twins?

Maybe they didn't mention it in their statements as the twins were fine,  and they were giving evidence as to what led up to Madeleine's disappearance.

When they saw the liaison officer however they mentioned that they wanted to know if any signs of sedation had been found in 5a.

The same could be said for the PJ,   Kate said she asked for tests,  why didn't they refute this?

Well that's it isn't it Alf,   if Kate was satisfied that the twins were just in a deep sleep,  then she could just have asked for the twins to be tested to see if they had been given anything to make them sleep.

The idea that the McCann's would let something happen to the twins and not bother to look out for them I find really hard to believe.

Read Gerry's statement 10th of May,  he said he went outside to see if he could raise the shutters and he could.

I've read all their statements so I know what they said. They can say anything if nobody else saw them and that applies to anyone.

Err David went inside with them but didn't say anything about Gerry going outside and raising shutters.

"I was made aware of but err as I say I couldn't tell you exactly how far down the blind was or how much the window was open."

00:40:22 1485 "Did Kate say anything about the window and the shutter''
Reply "Err I'm sure she did but what she exactly said and you know because we were, you know, the first thing you're trying to do is work out how it could be opened you know, what was, you know, err and you know the discussion whether it be open from the inside or the outside but what she said I can't remember. But also on the back of subsequent discussions that we had about what may have happened, it's difficult to say without, or you know things merge into one.'

The twins that they left home alone five nights on the trot? The twins they were 'very concerned about' but did nothing? The twins who went back into the creche where, for all they knew, someone had been 'watching' the family? Actions speak louder than words imo.

When 'raising her concerns' what do you think she wanted the outcome to be ?

I'm afraid there's no way to help anyone so deep in denial G. It is sobering though how little regard the supporters have for the children's welfare. Almost as little, it would appear, as their parents.

It's a measure of their desperation when they are driven to using completely opposing arguments to explain the inexplicable.

What are you talking about now?     Are we back to the 'they left them alone'   because if we are then I would just like to remind you that the final statement into this said 'there was no intent'   in other words the McCann's thought the children were safe and didn't want any harm to come to them.   They were asleep in their beds,  where children should be safe.  The McCann's were totally distraught as statements demonstrate with the disappearance of their daughter so if you think that is an example of having little regard for Madeleine's welfare then you must be mad.

I have tried to explain how parents who are under such stress as the McCann's were would react differently to parents who have not had their children disappear and you chose to ignore that and just carry on with your 'the McCann's don't care'   attitude.

Whether anyone said anything about Gerry going outside is neither here nor there,  everyone was running around doing different things and no one knowing what to do next.

The McCann's did leave the children as you say,  they also deeply regret doing it don't they?    You sound as though you believe the McCann's to be cold hearted parents who couldn't care less.   However  photo's and video's show the opposite to what you want to paint don't they?

They didn't do nothing,   Kate checked on them and as far as you and I know may have seen signs that they were ok and just wanted tests done to be sure they weren't given anything.

As for the crèche,   it was during the day,  they wanted things as normal as possible for the twins,  they enjoyed it there,   better than witnessing their parents crying and others crying around them and for them to be upset by it all.

They intentionally left them in an unlocked i.e. unsafe place. The rest is speculation.
