Kate mentions in her book that she asked  the police on the night of the 3rd for the twins to be tested.

Also the British Police liaison officer mentioned in his statement that the McCann's wanted the twins tested, I think that was on the Sat. 5th May

Wrong again Lace.

There is no idependent verification of Kate voicing any concerns to anyone on the 3rd and the FLO were only asked if there had been anything to suggest that sedation had been used in the alleged abduction. They at no point asked for the twins to be tested.

But the conversation would have to have been translated yet Silvia Batista makes no mention of such a conversation. Neither does Fiona Payne who was with her all night. Can you imagine the fuss that would have been kicked up by the McCanns if the police officers on the scene had ACTUALLY done nothing after Kate, notice not Gerry, voiced her concerns ?

Ok so Kate is lying in her book is she?    Kate mentions drugging quite a few times,   so the PJ didn't sort of add two and two together?   Well they must have as they tested the bed for sedation didn't they,  why did they do that?

Amaral also mentions it in his book,   he can't test the twins because 'it would be trial by the public'  what a load of rubbish.   He knew alright that Kate was asking for the twins to be tested he took no notice then had the nerve to accuse them of drugging Madeleine.

Kate SAID she mentioned drugging a few times. There is no evidence that she actually did. Not one statement taken from eyewitnesses verifies it and indeed, neither she nor her husband mention it in the statements given the next day.

The responsibility for the twin's welfare was down to the parents, no-one else. If they suspected their twins had been drugged it was up to them to seek medical help, not up to others. Do we have independent verification that Kate McCann asked for her children to be tested? I can't find anything.

I for one am  not going to accuse the McCann's of not wanting their twins to be safe,   I am sure that Kate was well aware of how the twins were doing,  I doubt very much if she wanted them to die of a drug over dose do you?

They picked them up to take them to their friends apartment,   it is said if a person moves voluntarily during shaking or pushing then they are just in a deep sleep and not unconscious,  they are Drs. no doubt they knew if the twins were in a dangerous situation.

To say that Kate McCann would have let her twins die is a dreadful thing to say.

your words sweetie ..not mine

as for them being drs...............................they were both in a deep sleep...if they had have been given something ...there could have been a delayed reaction....

again as for them being drs.....they should have known better ;;;shouldn't they ....like don't leave your children unattended.....

they are responsible for what happened ....or could have ....or even did....the drs mcc
Always listen to both sides of the story before you judge.

Why did Amaral mention testing the twins in his book?   He knew they slept through all the noise,  why didn't he arrange for the twins to be tested?   Answer me that.

Kate says she asked for the twins to be tested on the night of the 3rd of May,  she must have thought they would arrange it,  they didn't.

It's all very well saying there is nothing written down in the officers statement to say Kate asked this,  but strangely they tested for drugs on the bed,   Amaral mentions tesing the twins in his book,  tells a different story doesn't it?

You suggested the McCann's ignored the fact that the twins could have been drugged worse scenario is that they would die.

Kate says she asked for the twins to be tested on the night of the 3rd of May,   nothing happened.

Kate in the mean time was keeping a close eye on them.

They did move the twins into their friends apartment,  picking them up,  I have read that if a person moves on their own accord when being picked up or shaken then it is a deep sleep and that they are not unconscious.

They were both Drs.   I am sure they would have known what they were doing,  and not want anything to happen to their twins.

As for the leaving them well much as been said I am not going to go over it again.

Last part of your post I can't quite understand sorry.

Amaral's book, like Kate McCann's book, was written with hindsight. I'm not interested really in the 'testing' argument. What I'm saying is that any parent who has lost one child, believes the others have been drugged and is concerned enough to keep checking on them should have demanded medical attention that night, not testing later.

By the time they took the twins into the other apartment I expect they realised they were just deeply asleep.

I really cannot imagine the McCann's not wanting to look after the twins,  they are obviously loved and cared for.

By the way in Amaral's book he is saying what he thought at the TIME and at the time he thought about testing the twins,  so he knew they slept through the noise and his excuse was to say he didn't have them checked because it would have been trial by the public which to me is simply nonsense.

It isn't  that it wasn't written down in the police officer's statements, it wasn't written in any of the statements. Not Fiona's, who you would have thought she would have mentioned it when describing the way Kate kept checking the twins, if it happened. Not Silvia Batista who, you would have thought, would have mentioned translating the frantic pleas of a mother beside herself with panic that her children may have been drugged.but most strange of all not even her husband who, as well as sharing her concerns, must have been horrified that he and his wife's concerns were not acted upon.

Fiona mentioned Kate checking the twins,  did Kate actually say to Fiona that she thought they might be drugged?

It could be that it was only Kate who was thinking that.   Fiona said she told Kate they were fine.

It was Kate who was remembering the stain on Madeleine's pyjama's and thinking the abductor could have tried to sedate Madeleine the night before.

Could be Gerry didn't think they were drugged,  they were fine afterwards weren't they.

So if Kate says she asked it's definitely true? I wonder why those she asked forgot to mention it? I wonder why the lady translating forgot to mention it? Perhaps she just thinks she asked. After all she was traumatised and desperate and perhaps mis-remembered. She seems to have forgotten her request by the following morning when she was interviewed. She should have complained, shouldn't she; made a fuss; demanded to know why no-one listened.

You seem very good at imaginative thinking actually. You are able to imagine what two people unknown to you were thinking and feeling.

The statements typed up by the PJ are based on a summary of answers to questions.
