Idle speculation, gossip, tittle-tattle ....
All what substitutes proper debate (all too often) on this board.
Very true. Particularly since the twins had not been given paracetamol or any other drug, either prescription or over the counter, by their parents.
The purpose of testing would have been primarily to ascertain if they had been drugged by an intruder opening the possibility that Madeleine had been subject to being subdued in the same manner.
Since we subsequently know from the co-ordinator and his second in command that Madeleine's parents had been suspected of 'staging' the abduction scenario ... why would they have bothered testing the twins?
Therefore the mistake admitted to be one by Goncalo Amaral ... was very probably not one of omission but one of commission.
As were many of the elementary mistakes made in how to go about conducting an investigation into a missing child by a squad with no experience of conducting the task ... and possibly under leadership too arrogant to ask for or accept advice.
