There is no evidence to suggest the PJ suspected sedation of the twins and even if they did, the tests could have been positive if done immediately. As the McCanns are the only ones whose concern is documented, the question remains why they did nothing about it on 4th May.

i think the reason G-Unit ....is obviously they defo knew they would be ok ......and the last thing they wanted was them tested ....for some reason

even though she kept checking they were breathing
Always listen to both sides of the story before you judge.

The first storyteller you will always find has modified the story, for there benefit BE WISE.

Let's see: the media forwarded the hypothesis that the children could have been sedated to be kept asleep and allow some rest to the parents.

Distant in time Kate's father, the grandfather of the minor, Brian Healy, admits to the press that Kate could have administered some medication to the little girl, Calpol, to help the child (children'') to sleep, contrary to what his daughter Kate had stated.

Kate, through the PJ inspector that acted as 'liaison' with the family [NOTE: that is Ricardo Paiva], asked why samples weren't taken from the twins in order to test that hypothesis. She knew well enough at that time, more than 3 months later, that such exam would be inviable.

She went further and said that we ' the investigation ' should verify that the kidnapper had sedated Madeleine, to accomplish the action and he had also sedated the twins 'to consummate the act' however she didn't say that at the right moment.

And we know that the sedatives have timings to act and timings to be expelled, that varies between six and 200 hours.

The medical knowledge of the McCann is enough to know such, even if their professional activity never passed by performing toxicology exams.

Not 'straight away', is it? To demonstrate they suspected sedation 'straight away' we need something from the first week.

So why did Tavares misrepresent Madeleine's grandfather to make a point?

Smithman carrying a child in his arms checked his watch after passing the Smith family and the time was 10:03. Both are still unidentified 10 years later.

To put it quite simply.

The Policia Judiciaria were in total charge of all aspects of the investigation into Madeleine McCann's disappearance.

If the twins were not tested for drugs and if they should have been ... the fault is entirely the fault of the Policia Judiciaria.

The suggestion put forward by Mr Amaral  to excuse the failure to do so ~ that knowledge of such testing might have been prejudicial to her parents is spurious.
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

He is speaking about the Sky News interview with Brian Healy, 7th September 2007, three days before Tavares' report was written.

Be fair, Brietta, such outrageous leaks as Gerry not Madeleine's father PROVES how much they cared about the reputation of the McCanns ....

The most outrageous things in this case is clearly the parents own actions of leaving their very young children in an unsecured apartment and tampering of the crime scene before the police arrived. Never mind not calling the police asap knowing she was abducted but deleting history logs instead within a 24 hour period of the police examining their phones. Instead of clearing up these abnormal behaviours by later answering all questions they hide behind their lawyers and leave Portugal.

This is a disgrace - the only question answered by the mother - bet her lawyer didn't tell her to answer this one.

Q.  Are you aware that in not answering the questions you are jeopardising the investigation, which seeks to discover what happened to your daughter?

A.  'Yes, if that’s what the investigation thinks.'

Sigh ... Dr Kate McCann was an arguida advised by her lawyer of her RIGHT TO SILENCE.  What is it you fail to grasp about that?

Everyone has a legal right to remain silent. I have never seen an innocent individual use it.
