(snip)... and Mark Warner did a wash for them at some point ...(snip)
They certainly did G-Unit - on Saturday afternoon - one bag of adult and childrens clothing - and it was delivered clean and ironed to block 4 on Sunday

The stain was more important than going to the beach to watch her daughter sailing for the first time. That in itself is unusual - I don't know why she brought a camera. She isn't even in any with her kids! It had to be urgently cleaned and she disappeared with it on. She was shown how to use the washing machine but there wasn't any clothes in it and why not wear another dry top.

Kate rinsed Madeleine's pyjama's ready for her to wear the following night,  nothing wrong with that.

Did they know that Madeleine was going on the boat?   Were there a large group of parents all watching their children on the boat?

I wonder why she didn't bother putting the washer on? She had lots of laundry around. If she'd popped them in before she went to play tennis they would have been ready to hang out when she returned at 11.15am.

When asked about the contents of the wardrobe in his room that can be seen in the photographs, he says that on top is a suitcase and below a pile of dirty clothes that he cannot make out. This wardrobe was opened to look for Madeleine.

They were going home the following day weren't they?   Why bother doing the washing?   Where would they dry it all?

They had it washed when they had to stay in Portugal,   they needed clean clothes then didn't they?  and they were dried and ironed.

Wouldn't you think they had a lot to deal with their daughter going missing for instance to bother with washing clothes themselves?   Could be someone else sorted it for them.

A number of points...

I would expect a specific Parental Consent for an activity like the sailing though could be wrong.

If the were lots of interesting activities it would be fairly normal for the parents to ask what the kids where doing that day, otherwise it is more like a child minders.

Could be they had to wait for the right weather,   I don't know if they would have had to have Parental Consent,  could be they signed something at the start of the week to say they would allow their children to go on activities,  they had trained people on the event.

Were the rest of the parents at the boat trip?    I can't imagine them wanting all the parents to turn up in my opinion,   the children would get distracted.

They would sign for everything at the beginning of the stay.

Page 65.

Kate says she remembered seeing large brown stain on Madeleine's Disney pyjama top which she though was tea as Madeleine sometimes at a small cup,  she thought nothing of it at the time,  but after Madeleine disappeared she thought everything had to be treated as though it could mean something.

Why don't you read their statements to find out who was at the beach that morning. Not ready for the following night - this all happened on the day she disappeared.

"I think we met Dave and Fi coming back and they said they’d seen Madeleine and Ella on a boat, because they’d taken the kids sailing that morning, so they said ‘Oh we’ve seen Madeleine and Ella on a boat down there’.  So then we went down to the beach, erm, and Russell took out a kayak and I sat and just played on the beach with Evie at that point." Smithman carrying a child in his arms checked his watch after passing the Smith family and the time was 10:03. Both are still unidentified 10 years later.

Now wasn't it Dave who had a sailing lesson that morning?  So he went to sail?  Please correct me if I am wrong.
... and after meeting Dave and Fi coming back, Russell went down and took out a kayak.

Rather a different slant on things to what you are seeking to portray, dont you think?

Catriona Baker statement 6th May. I wonder how many times a 'few' are? More than one, more than two, which would be a couple of times. Three or more times then? Never even mentioned by the parents, however.

Questioned, she responds that since she has been working with the little girl, it has seemed to her that the parents were attentive to their daughter given that they asked what Madeleine had done in the creche and that they even accompanied Madeleine a few times in certain outside activities.
