Being ruled out is not the same thing as not being a suspect no matter how much you like to spin it davel.

Take note of the missing child case in Idaho Falls.  The parents were initially declared not suspects but hey ho, seven months later and they are the prime suspects.  Things change, investigations move on, new evidence is revealed.

The parents in that case were inititially ruled out
There is no precise legal definition of the word so it's fair to say the McCanns have been ruled out

no it doesn't and no one needs to be proved innocent...they are ruled out because the evidence does not support their involvement

Opinion, not fact. No-one can be 'ruled out' by lack of evidence of involvement. A person can be ruled out by an irrefutable alibi placing them elsewhere than at the scene of a crime when the crime was committed. No-one knows in this case if a crime was committed and if it was, what it was and what time it occurred.

And therein lies the problem that, to date, no one has solved.
I believe everything. And l believe nothing.
I suspect everyone. And l suspect no one.
I gather the facts, examine the clues... and before   you know it, the case is solved!"

You and othe sceptics seem to be under the illusion that being ruled out has a precise legal definition....it doesn't... If you disagree go ahead and give the definition
I don't expect a reply

I don't believe that anyone has been 'ruled out'. It's supporters who keep insisting the Mccanns have been 'ruled out'. I am asking them to explain how that was accomplished.
So Murat's still in the frame then...interesting.... &%+((£

Which means that certainly no one in Praia Da Luz has been ruled out (except of  course we've been told in no uncertain terms that the McCanns and their friends have been by a senior copper, but he's "Yesterday's Man" now so we can conveniently forget everything he ever said and pin all our hopes on the Lady copper who hasn't said a word yet but who we hope will come out soon and announce that dawn raids on Rothley are imminent).

Though he did say something along the lines that not everyone was in agreement, so perhaps some of his juniors had other opinions that were not given credence.

Why do you always sound so pleased about it?

Haven't you worked that one out yet.

How do you find evidence if none exists in the first place ?

No, I haven't worked out why you are so pleased that Redwood failed.  Perhaps you could tell me.
