Why did one Smith family member "go rogue", months after stating he wouldn't recognise the stranger again? Which parts of his original testimony supporting a possible stranger abduction were lies, thus casting doubt on the veracity of the other family members' statements?

Is this the supposed campaign to exonerate Murat again? Anyone who still believes that might as well get in bed with the Brueckner supporters for me, it's so outlandish a theory.

There's no grand conspiracy in my theory. Just Mr & Mrs McCann disposing of Madeleine's body & getting away with it. It is the sheer simplicity of the bin theory which makes it the most plausible explanation. No abductor boogey men lurking in the shadows, staking out the McCanns apartment for days, extra abductors & getaway vehicles & so on. All too convoluted. No, it is the simplest explanation that is usually correct in life. She died in the apartment, Gerry took her out on his 9pm check, recovered her after suggesting everyone split up & search, then he passed the Smith family with a Maddie who wasn't looking too well & dressed in the wrong pyjamas, then he disposed of her. Unfortunately a lot of gullible idiots fell for it. The McCanns capitalised on the moral panic around paedophiles & used it to their advantage. Mr Mccann phoning someone back home & telling them that gangs of Portuguese paedophiles had busted open the window & snatched Maddie. The case will never be 'solved' because Maddie is simply unrecoverable. But that doesn't mean it isn't obvious the Mccanns did it. Well it is to me anyway.

Basically yes. He takes her out of the apartment,  secretes her somewhere in the direction of the Smith sighting, then returns to the apartment, leaves via the patio door & maintains the charade. The fact you think he's incapable of doing such a thing is really a You problem. It doesn't mean he didn't do it.

What would you prefer to be known as by your family, friends & the wider public? The innocent victims & parents of an abducted child, or the murderous/neglectful b........s who's child died on a family holiday? I think it is much worse to be known as parents who weren't there when their child was abducted I can't think of anything worse.  If she had died from an accident that could have happened when they were there.

Do you have children Lace? You seen very protective of children. Me personally I don't like children, they are expensive annoying little brats. Anyway, I view the world without child protective emotion, I view the case details without that emotion. Parents of children will be more inclined to fear the mythical abductor bogey man & will be willing to believe in it & as such the Mccanns. When, in reality, stranger abductions are incredibly rare. The overwhelming majority of disappearances are caused by family or someone known to them.

It's impossible to know how she could have died, but, look at the evidence objectively. There is a major 30 minute discrepancy between Kate's account of David's 6:30 visit & David's account. So something had happened before then imo. The time discrepancy & details of the visit are too great to be easily explained away.
