My mum?s a bit of a racist though she strenuously denies it.  The irony is, every health worker, or taxi driver or member of the general population that she encounters who is black she cannot speak highly enough about, they all without exception treat this ancient old racist white lady with utmost respect and kindness.  It?s quite amazing that not a single one of them has yet thought to stab her to death, and it goes to prove that Spam is much more of a coward than my 88 year old mum because, despite being a racist, she is quite prepared to be picked up in a taxi or treated in a hospital by a scary, potentially murderous black man.

Like I said, it isn't ALL black people obviously, the higher risk of propensity to violence though is found in young black men, usually involved in inner city gang & drug violence, drill rap & in poverty. The statistical data doesn't lie.

My equation isn't simply black people=crime. That would be terrible & too racist even for me. It is more along the lines of Young black men+poverty+poor education+poor housing conditions+raised by a single mother+ drug & gang involvement+ lack of gainful employment opportunities in the local area etc etc etc. There are many factors that add to the increased risk found in young males of all races & unfortunately much of the black community suffer from many of these social & environment issues.

I recently met a 30 year old black man from South Africa. We actually discussed this issue because as I growing up I had a friend born in the then Rhodesia. He married young & had two children, pursued a career in social services when he got a visa to the UK. His brother was recently shot dead back in South Africa. Anyway, he worked hard & owns a home & an area of land there. He said he it is in a gated, majority White community, because everyone understands that being around the White people there is safer. Obviously this is tied to income etc but the main point he made was that even some black people do not want to live around black people. So even he, despite being black, is a bit racist.

When you acknowledge that so many of the problems (in fact the vast majority) are societal why do you fixate so doggedly on race being the key factor?  Why aren?t you similarly terrified of any young white or asian male raised by a single parent, on drugs, out of work and with mental  health problems and possibly carrying a concealed weapon?  Don?t  me they don?t exist, of course they do.
And as a drug dealer yourself you have an effing cheek to be raising this as an issue when you have only contributed to the problem over the years, peddling illegal drugs to people that may have caused real harm to your customers? mental well being and relationships and encouraged criminal behaviour.  You mate are part of the problem, you disgusting little white man.

Except I haven't ever robbed or stabbed anyone or felt compelled to do so. The worst I did was sell some bags of tasty weed to people who approached me. I didn't go out actively pushing bags of crack onto homeless single mothers. I provided a service to people, white/asian & black as it happens, who wanted to smoke some weed at the evenings & weekends. Never messed with the actual hard class A stuff because that's where things get serious. Anyway. Why do I single out race? Because it's an easily identifiable characteristic. I'm not saying ALL black people are criminals or inherently dangerous & violent. I don't think that way at all. But, I have observed the statistical data around age race & crime & I take it into consideration. It would simply be unwise not to do so.
