'Everyone's afraid to die': Struggle to recruit soldiers in Ukraine turns violent

Zelenskys popular in Ukraine. So popular that people have to be dragged from the street to fight for him.

Whereas in Russia they?re having to import their cannon fodder from other countries.

Recruiting willing allies? Oh no. The humanity! Compared to Ukraine's Busification. I'm still not sure why Zelenskey (of whom only 24% would vote for as President according to recent polls) actually needs to drag men off of the street to fight, considering Ukraine has lost only 50k soldiers compared to Russia's 450k. If Western sources are to be believed.

Why are they having to recruit willing allies?  Have all the fighting age men in Russia been killed already?

If a presidential election were held today, incumbent President Zelenskyy would still lead in voter support with 25.2%. Zaluzhnyy ranks second with 16.7%, and Fedorov ranks third with 12.5%.

They've lost half their starting army, if you believe the West. Dying at a ratio of over 4:1 .Does that seem even remotely realistic to you? But why wouldn't they recruit allies? It provides training for North Korean soldiers. It is part of defensive cooperation.

You said he had majority support. By what stretch of the imagination is 25% the majority of Ukranians? It seems 75% wouldn't vote for him. Despite Ukraine very clearly winning the war, according to US statistics.

'Three Russian submarines were detected by the UK in the North Atlantic loitering over critical undersea cables.'

So, no actual attack on infrastructure then.

Russia's military intelligence service is suspected to be behind a series of parcel fires that targeted the UK and Europe, investigators have said.

European and British authorities launched a joint investigation after several self-igniting parcels detonated in Germany, Poland and at a DHL depot in the UK in 2024.

On Friday, investigators said 22 suspects had been identified in Lithuania and Poland suspected of having been "working on behalf of the military-intelligence service of the Russian Federation". Two cases have been sent to court, they said.

'Suspected'. IE, no evidence Russia did it.

And finally, GCHQ cites the Institute for the study of war, yet another propaganda arm of US imperialism.

In the same poll 59% of Ukranians said they trusted him.  That sounds to me like the majority trust him to lead their country in this time of war.

Predictable response.  So I?ve asked this question numerous times before and never received a straight answer: do you think Russia poses no threat to Britain?s / Europe?s safety and security?

Why is their army so shit then? To suggest that North Korean soldiers are willing recruits is the best joke I will read today.

But 75% wouldn't actually vote for him. Least of all the majority population of Donetsk, Luhansk & Crimea. No, they voted overwhelmingly to join Russia. You've seen the electoral map I posted. West Ukranians are pro US. East Ukranians are pro Russia. Zelensky does not have the support of all of Ukraine. Only the Nazi supporting regions.

Maybe now because we're arming Ukraine. Although, considering Russia are losing overwhelmingly to a far smaller army at a death ratio of 4:1. Do you think it likely they would seek to draw NATO into the conflict anymore than they are already & make life even harder for themselves? Does that seem likely to you?
