On the two assumptions, that the shutter was opened from outside, and that the child was awoken by the noise, it can be deduced which room the child would go to, initially at least.

The child would go to the parents' bedroom. Upon finding the parents absent, this child had a dilemma. Her young siblings were still in danger inside the room she had fled from. What would she do next?

The child would go to the parents' bedroom (snip)
Yes. BTW from a small child's perspective, waking up hours after going to bed, in the dark, there is no knowledge of whether it is 9.15pm or midnight or 3am - the exact time from the child's perspective is simply "the middle of the night".

I'd like to go backwards a number of steps and not miss anything out.
To leave the child bedroom requires pulling it's door open. The way this door is fitted, as soon as it is pulled open, the lounge area can be seen, lit by a small tablelamp. Therefore at the moment a child pulls the child bedroom door open, the child would observe, that there is no-one in the lounge area. So this knowledge would already have been acquired, before entering the south bedroom.

Would you agree that by this time, the burglar is aware that the apartment is occupied and is no longer interested in gaining entrance?
I believe everything. And l believe nothing.
I suspect everyone. And l suspect no one.

Absolutely, yes, that is the whole point.

OK, so burglars ( assuming that they were there) have no subsequent knowledge of the fate of Madeleine.

That's correct IMO.

If the child left the room as soon as she she heard the shutter opening begin (the intelligent thing to do IMO), she would be already out of the room before the burglar finished opening the shutter and looked in. The burglar would then see 2 children in the room and abandon the burglary before climbing in.

That is why in my opinion,  it wasn't a botched burglary gone wrong,  it was an organised abduction of Madeleine,  if those men had been contacting each other with every movement the McCann's made eg.  crèche etc.  then they would certainly know the children were in the apartment.   I don't believe anyone of them went in through the window,  I believe one of them had a key,  and then opened the window either as an escape route,  to hand Madeleine through it or to take any suspicion that someone had a key away.   If one of them was working for the OC then Madeleine might recognise him,   he then could say he was taking her to mummy and daddy,  hand her over and disappear into the OC without anyone suspecting him as he worked there.

Yet not a jot of evidence to show it happened.

Likewise, Madeleine's younger sister was from the same genetic line, so why not her instead?

I was thinking that, myself.  High on imagination, low on substance.

You could just as easily ask "why not Madeleine's younger brother?"
Without knowing the prerequisite of a child abductor, it's difficult to answer.
Why was James Bulger chosen? Or April Jones?

Have you posted what you believe happened to Madeleine?   or do you just ridicule others?

Evidence is the phone calls they made to each other,   they wanted Madeleine easier to manage maybe.

The April Jones, Jamie Bulger, Cannock Chase Murders and The Moors Murders were all random snatches.
We are being asked to believe that MM was targeted.
How about the "Targeted Snatch" proposers  write a list a list of essential activities required from 28th April 2007 to 3rd May 2007 to effect the job?
Let's start with how the child was targeted.
This will of course necessitate a client and his ability to assemble all the "labour plant and equipment" as it were in the right place at the right time to finish the job off. Also bear in mind if it's being done for cash the bloke who has the shekels know enough to kick the job off he did not get where he is by being daft.
