Luis Rosa and Caterina Marques Rodrigues comment, in the Observador, newspaper of Portugal, about José Carlos da Silva, Ricardo Rodrigues and Paulo Ribeiro, who in July 2014 were declared arguidos (suspects) in the Madeleine case, according to journal Correio da Manhã of July 2, 2014.

According to the Observador, "the Polícia Judiciária considers that there is no evidence to incriminate the three suspects." On the other hand Portuguese journal Público reports that the Polícia Judiciária received no request from the British authorities to question again Jose Carlos, Ricardo and Paulo.

Officially rule out suspects who are known to the public is a good practice. Remember when Scotland Yard, officially through Andy Redwood, discarded the parents of Madeleine and their group of friends as suspects.

If José Carlos, Ricardo and Paulo are discarded in the investigation, authorities should make an official statement, as was done with the parents of Madeleine. It would be good for the three mentioned men, for their families, for their friends, and for all the people who know them.

And even if that were the case, that none of the three was involved in the abduction of Madeleine, I still think that the crime was a "burglary that went wrong".

The 'abduction' is not a fact Heriberto, merely a belief.

A very interesting take on this Heriberto.Thank you.
But the point some are missing is the parents cannot be blamed for anything, so everyone else must be destroyed, in public, regardless of their rights to  innocence until proved otherwise, this only applies to McCanns in some peoples eyes.

The difficulty is that unless an arguido has a cast iron alibi for the period between 9pm and 10pm on 3rd May 2007 then they cannot be ruled out until such times as the culprit or culprits (if such exist) are found and prosecuted.

I agree though Heriberto, if such an alibi exists then the arguido concerned should be officially ruled out.
A malicious prosecution for a crime which never existed. An exposé of egregious malfeasance by public officials.
Indeed, the truth never changes with the passage of time.

(snip) even if that were the case, that none of the three was involved in the abduction of Madeleine, I still think that the crime was a "burglary that went wrong".
IMO it is probable that the shutter and window were opened by a burglar or pair of burglars unconnected to SY's 3 men.
So forget SY's 3 men, forget people standing in the street, and forget collectors real or fake at other buildings.

Here are the people who on May 3rd were seen inside the property boundary of an apartment of Block 5.
*** Two blond men on balcony of an apartment most probably 5C.
*** One blond man leaving garden (presumably coming from balcony) of an apartment most probably 5B (or 5C).

IMO it is quite possible that the shutter and window were opened by a burglar, or pair of burglars, completely unconnected to SY's 3 men.
So forget SY's 3 men, forget people standing in the street, and forget collectors real or fake at other buildings.
Look only at people who on May 3rd were seen in a garden of an apartment of Block 5.
*** Two blond men on balcony of an apartment most probably 5C.
*** One blond man in garden of an apartment most probably 5B (or less likely 5C).

But Pegs  these are not swarthy types if they are blond. Are you suggesting they tried to break in and stole Maddie or deliberately planned to steal her, or did they pick her up when she got startled and ran out of the apartment, would she not scream or anything? who were the witnesses who saw these two, and were they found and questioned?

None of the above Missy,
IMO a person opened the window but did not take the child.
The witnesses of men in gardens are Jensen and Tranmer.

None of those Missy. The possibility is that the 2 men seen by [Name removed] on that other apartment's balcony were there to find if that apartment was being occupied or was vacant that week.

Someone is feeding stories to the British press. There was no ILOR rejected by the Portuguese police. SY are not looking at burglars as their 'remaining lead'. So who's interests does these articles serve. I think this might just be the beginning of the end game so fasten your seat belts because I think it's going to be a bumpy ride !!

SY are not looking at burglars as their 'remaining lead'.

So how do YOU know that Faith?

I think that I know who is their remaining lead, because I think (don't definitely know), that I lead them to their remaining lead.

But how do YOU know?  Do you know the man?

As far as some criminals are concerned ... a child is a very 'valuable' commodity indeed.  You are underestimating the evil of which some 'burglars' are capable.

They could even have been hired to abduct her,  what better people to employ than burglars who know how to get into the properties and their way around the OC.

Really Sadie ?

You can't sustantiate that.

Offline Brietta

I don't agree Brietta. Burglars just don't abduct children as if they were a commodity.

They may have been sub-contracted John.

Lace has indicated that could have been what happened and Pegasus has reminded us of the blond men seen in the gardens.
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

The media seem to be in disarray. Each rumour being put forward by one is being denied by another. Where is Mr Mitchell? His expertise seems to be needed to sort out the chaos and get them all synchronised.
