So?
No one is saying it doesnt happen (snip)
Other cases are valuable because they indicate where in a residence a child is likely to hide.

Thats fine, but you have a theory to begin with ie the interrupted burglary, no hard evidence at least that stands up, for the starting point imo
I start with the assumption that KM is telling the truth about the window and shutter Merc.
Because there is absolutely no evidence to indicate she is telling anything but the truth.

Names?

Their names are in the files. No point naming each person in public.

The only identified fingerprints are hers.

No verification of open window before 10 pm.

Claims from the family and friends as to shutters being jemmied or which ever word substitute you wish to employ .....

All 5 of her prints were on the glass Steve.
Consistent with leaning on an already open window. Not consistent with opening it.
This witness is truthful, and the prints confirm it..

The 6th print, which was claimed to hers and on the aluminium of the window in a position proving she opened it, simply does not exist. I challenge anyone to post the page number or photo from the files of that supposed print.

All 5 prints.

Consistent with pushing a window already open ?

Why would she lean on an open window ?

Are there scuff marks on the wall inside, or outside and corresponding footprints outside ?

Well that is a matter of opinion but as an assumption in exploring a theory is perfectly fine

She leant on it to look out, with one hand seemingly (iirc all prints were from the same hand will amend the post after checking if not)

What is the 6th print provenance pegasus?

Problem is, some don't realise it's like those logic puzzles in puzzle books, you have to make assumptions and see if they work, then change the assumptions if it doesn't work.

Exactly. However, the answer and true clues are all in the info given in the logic puzzles, so thry are solvable, unlike in this case

Maybe the clues & answers are already there but you choose to ignore them.

If they were the case would still not be cold but solved!

Neither clues nor answers necessarily provide tangible evidence required for a criminal conviction.

We were talking about logic puzzles and how to solve them

Your above post doesnt make much sense to me, just leave it maybe?

you keep making claims that " some don't realise"    do you have any evidence for this....some of us don't even bother with those puzzle books
