Surely someone going to all the trouble of casting a counterfeit key from molten metal would not wish to take the lazy short cut of using existing metal. They would wish to mine and refine their own metal ores. Perhaps we should be looking for a small illicit iron-ore or tin-ore mine on the outskirts of PDL Sadie?

There's a joke about that Peggy ... 8(0(*

Tin alloys ? aka solder. What do we know about those?. They are soft and ductile and lacking the shear strength necessary for things like keys.
Toy soldiers are lead which is soft and ductile.

I suggested a tin alloy or similar metal of decent tensile strength.  Enough for a use once-only key.

You are unobservant in the extreme.
And you would seem to be pretty ignorant of the properties of metals.

ORLY....its not as bad as I thought......only 22 hrs 47 mins with no traffic....and  BTW....some of us are working with cast metals everyday...if you get my drift although their use is being superceded by cad cam milling due to inaccuracies of the casting process....shouldnt be  a problem with a key though...   cobalt chrome is readily available as are the means to cast it....having said that  a run out to Timpsons may be preferable

It is not an allegation.

The difference between 'could' (no allegation) and 'was' (allegation) is pretty simple.

I think it depends where you're standing. If I was an OC cleaner reading this I might be feeling quite insulted.

There is strong evidence that a criminal opened the window and shutter.
There is zero evidence that any criminal opened the wooden door.

The evidence for a criminal opening the window and shutter is weak. No forensic evidence. The only evidence was provided by the last people to see a disappeared person. Those people are married to each other. Another person claims to have seen the evidence, but the timescale makes it unlikely because she also saw other people there who didn't see it.

I agree there's no evidence at all for a wooden door entry, that's pure speculation.

If you are innocent, you might well feel insulted.

If you are not innocent, you probably won't feel insulted.

Whichever way up, it is clearly not an allegation.
What's up, old man?

If no-one criminal opened the wooden door then no-one would have needed to say the keys to Block 5 went missing shortly before May 3rd. Someone must have known that a key was used to make such an allegation.

Would running away from a stranger opening the shutter significantly increase the risk of accident?

If the stranger was already in the bedroom.....& running away resulted in a fall which rendered the child unconscious without bloodloss.....still doesn't explain why the child went missing.

IMO the moment the child heard and saw a stranger outside reaching in with their arm and operating the shutter strap, the child would run away fast from the shutter. I doubt the child would wait politely while the shutter was being opened, and delay running away until someone climbed in.
Running away from a danger increases the risk of accident compared with staying in bed in the absence of a danger.

The main curtains were drawn. How did the child see anyone at the window or an arm reaching in for the shutter strap?

I think that all that the child would have seen would have been the closed curtain which would have cut off the view of the intruder who would have had the shutter raised in seconds
