Look carefully -the laundry pile is still there on the shelf IMO - the door and jacket block view of most of the pile but the extreme front left corner of the pile is visible
Pegasus just wondering why youve always called this a laundry pile

Who puts their laundry back i n the wardrobe? To stink up clean clothes?

I agree. So what does that mean to you?
It means the laundry pile remained on that shelf until Sat IMO Robbity.
BTW also in that photo on the next shelf up IMO the large dark suitcase is still there.
From this camera angle the door completely blocks our view of it.

So let's see, there was no shelf in the children's bedroom so the story by Lori Campbell was yet another load of bollocks?

Does that about sum it up?

Just another Myth.  Add this one to The List.

You can't have it both ways. Either the door blocks the view or not.  If you can't see it you can't be certain whether it is there or not.
Looking at the size of the suitcase it should have been visible so i'd say it has gone by this stage. Logic: It was to be found before the the police were called.  I've got no proof other than the logic of the situation.

This from a News of the World report but I have some faith in them because their plan of 5A is the most accurate I have seen.  Also there is a photo of the wardrobe in the childrens bedroom which appears completely bonafide.

ETA:  The plan in Kates book "Madeleine" on page 46 is even more accurate, and the wardrobe is mentioned on Page 72.

Sorry, John, but I dont think you are right.   There was a shelf in Madeleines room.  It was in the wardrobe, as you can see in this image.
In the wardrobe interior mirror you can see the reflection of the mirror/picture on the back wall above Madeleines bed.   This confirms that this was the wardrobe in the childrens bedroom.

Inside the robe is a high shelf ... in Madeleines room

http://gerrymccannsblogs.co.uk/press/14-May8/11-05-08-NewsOfTheWorld-Transcript.htm

-snip- But our on-site reconstruction proves that if the kidnapper was already in the flat, as the McCanns fear, he had a full TEN SECONDS to conceal himself after hearing Gerry open the patio doors and enter the apartment.

And he had no fewer than FOUR boltholes to choose from—behind Madeleine’s BEDROOM DOOR, inside her roomy WARDROBE, in her parents’ nearby BEDROOM or in the family BATHROOM.

http://gerrymccannsblogs.co.uk/press/14-May8/image004.jpg

There was room for the kidnapper to hide inside Maddie's fitted wardrobe.

-snip-

Kate has stated that she found Cuddlecat in the place on the bed where she left it with Madeleine and her pink blanket at bedtime.   IIRC this was in her book “Madeleine”

To have found CC on a high shelf would have strengthened Kates statement about instantly knowing Madeleine had been abducted, cos Madeleine could not have put it there herself.

There was a high shelf there in the wardrobe. However, being honest, she told the truth about having found CCat on the bed.

There was a high shelf within the wardrobe in the room, but because of Kates honesty, I think that we can discount all reports about CCat being found there as nonsense .... another myth bites the dust !

Don't know about the bathroom, Sadie, I thought Gerry had used it on that check?  I agree with the rest of the post with the addition of my thoughts that if an an intruder was present s\he could have crouched behind the cots for concealment.

I agree Cuddle Cat was where Kate said it was ... on the bed.

I also think having been interrupted once the intruder may well have decided an escape route was required should the same thing happen again and opened the window and raised the shutter as soon as Gerry departed.

I think he left by the front door carrying Madeleine and was the person seen by Jane Tanner walking briskly at the top of the road.  The timing fits.
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

That plan showing the twin's cots is totally incorrect Sadie. The cots were in the middle of the floor between Madelein's bed and the bed beside the window.  They were not side by side adjacent to the wall as you have indicated.

I know that Angelo.

News of the World have made a number of mistakes especially in their written report BUT the actual plan of the apartment, meaning brick walls is nearly accurate.  Apart from the plan in the Madeleine book, this is the building plan that is nearest to actuality that I have found.

The length of the wardrobe is incorrect too, but there is a wardrobe there, even if it doesn't reach the window wall.  Because of the reflection of the Mirror/picture above Madeleines bed, I think this is the bonafide wardrobe to the childrens bedroom.  The bedroom door confirms that too.

The shelf within the wardrobe is what we are primarily interested in.    I think these illustrations, whilst not perfect in many respects, clearly show that there was a high shelf in the wardrobe in Madeleines bedroom.  Do you agree?

Anyway with Kate, against her own interests, publicly stating that she found CCat on the bed where she left her at bedtime, I think we can forget the Ccat on a high shelf myth. Don't you ?

It is just a myth.  An obfuscation

Perhaps you should expand on your theory re Cuddle Cat before moving onto pasture's new on CC's thread.

To date you have established that it is the 'one and only' CC we have been discussing ... you must have more to add in relation to journalists, shelves and a general realisation that all is not as it seems when misreported.

Bad and bad enough when, as in this instance, it happens inadvertently.
Really not good when there are those who have made a living out of deliberate distortion and misreporting of the facts.

I was originally trying to see if there was one or two cuddle cats in the McCann apartment.  I initially thought there was two but on further work, with my friend discussing it, we agreed that in the dog searches by Eddie there is only Cuddle Cat.

That's two myths discounted now Bob.  There was no second Cuddlecat and the soft toy was not found on a high shelf by Kate after Madeleine disappeared.   8((()*/

I'd still have to remind the forum of what I said along the lines of "there was only one CC involved in the searches of the apartments and villas etc.  It is still possible a second CC was taken along with Madeleine when she was removed from the apartment".
And even though I do believe in my heart that CC was on a shelf out of reach, later Kate finds CC on the bed and so she seems to accept that and writes it in her statement.
