I intend to prove it.  I wonder if it is possible to see Silvia's influence in Goncalo Amaral's many interviews.

I am interested.   Someone who I very much trust had reservations about Silvia, but never explained them

The busy operiod of Christmas is upon us and I doubt I shall be so much on forum however.  As I age, the 'night shift' progressively wears me out ... and often that is the only time available.

If you remember who that was that would be most helpful in presenting a case to SY.

Scotland Yard detectives are also interested in claims that a set of keys to apartment 5a, kept in the maintenance section, went missing in the week that Madeleine vanished, (really?) first revealed by the Sunday Express last February when we reported that a former maintenance worker said the disappearance of the keys had not been reported to the authorities. (ah, evidence from the Sunday Express but not official  evidence)
Did Silvia Batista know about this?   In the Portuguese article she claims to have warned the families about this risk.

In the PJ hypothesis of death  .... Silvia's opinion seems paramount: http://www.justpamalam.co.uk/mpjf/PJ/OUSTROS_APENSOS_11_VOLUMES.htm

2.1. The hypothesis of death is based on the following:

a) The witness Silvia Batista, page 1977, refers that at 3:00 h, May 4th, the couple asked for a priest, which she found strange since there was at that time any indication that the child was dead, and it is 'under those circumstances that usually the presence of a priest is demanded' (sic).

The purpose of reconstructions is to jog memories and prompt witnesses to come forward, not attempt to solve the crime directly from a reconstruction of events surrounding the crime.

That isn't a proper use of reconstructions at all.

But this wasn't a reconstruction in British police terms, this was a reconstitution involving the original participants.

A malicious prosecution for a crime which never existed. An exposé of egregious malfeasance by public officials.
Indeed, the truth never changes with the passage of time.

If you thought it would fail you must have some idea where the weak point was.  I ask this for that would have given me an idea of where to look for discrepancies.

Get Jane to reenact walking up the road in her flip flops and see if anyone could miss that regardless where the other two were standing.
I watched an interview and Gerry admitted Jez and himself were talking when Jane walked by.  Was it the Crimewatch one?
