Well if there was someone in the room while Matthew was there what would you call the other person?

In both cases I would call them an intruder.  There is no real way to square the moving door to the children's bedroom, it could have been air movement or even Madeleine moving around just as much as it could have been an intruder.  There is just is no way of being sure.

Intruder, OK we could debate whether or not there was an intruder, but if there was could we say the intruder was the abductor, or could there be an intruder and an abductor?

Sorry John I hadn't noticed your post till later.  I think "intruder" would be the correct technical term.

The witness never reached a conclusion as to why the door moved. It wasn't the child, she hadn't moved. He's sure he left it more closed than he found it though. Therefore someone or something must have moved it. Still, never mind, just go back to the restaurant, leaving the patio door open and your precious children alone in there. Really?

I was once alone in my house with my two children. I was heavily pregnant. I checked the children before going to bed and the attic opening, which was in their room, was open. In the room were two single beds and a cot. I never went to my bedroom, I slept in one of the beds directly under the attic opening just in case someone was somehow up there. No way was I leaving my children alone in that room that night.
