It would be interesting to know just how many people have experienced the tour
Is it 3 or less
Perhaps sil would enlighten us

Tour #4 has recently been completed according to his blog - so 4 people minimum have experienced it.

I understand several people have been to Luz "freelance" to have a good look around  Why pick out Sadie?

That's OK misty, but thanks for your concern.

I have no qualms that I did the right thing.  I quietly assessed things in Luz to make sure that I knew what I was talking about on forum and to help me in my search for Madeleine.

With all the strange things in Porto and my trip up there, it seems I hit the jackpot

We know she went, don't know others.

I think you were right to go there Sadie and experience Luz and surrounds for yourself.

The only local response I have heard of is best described as incandescent.  I have my tin hat and flamethrower at the ready.

This story must have been the topic of much debate and intrigue among locals, what sort of response have you found?

The Mirror story I believe was printed on 1 Oct 16, and those papers which echoed it did so over the next day or two.

The incandescent local I mentioned was around the 7th Oct 16.  And after that things died down.

I didn't do a lot of enquiring as to the impact.  I suppose if it had been important to me, I could have monitored one or two Luz citizen's Facebook sites (where I know there is a degree of interest), but I am really not a fan of social media.

If you think about it, there were two easy ways to get in touch with me.  My blog, which was heavily 'promoted', and where comments are welcome, including those critical of my effort.  And on here, where my username appears all over the place, and this thread is public, but only the usual posters have commented.

I suppose the eye-opener has been noted earlier in this thread.  A - that the MSM can twist things as they please (which I knew already), and more importantly B - that whereas I was subjected to a few days of flame-roasting by the tabloids involving just one story, the McCanns were subject to months of flame-roasting over many, many stories.

This post popped up on my blog tonight from Sarah.  What I can tell you about Sarah is nothing, since I have never heard of her before.

What I can tell you is that before the Mirror story about my tours, which appeared on 1 Oct 2016, a quite similar comment appeared on my blog.

From Sarah tonight "hi…my friends live in Luz and would be interesting in talking to you about the tour…..how would they contact you?"

I may well be wrong, but I think the game is afoot, Watson.

How do people contact you if they wanted to take a tour?

The people I take on tours are those that I know have a fair degree of knowledge of the case.

I have never heard of Sarah.

My experience of Luz is that people simply want the Madeleine thing to go away, not that they want to dig into it.

The message simply does not ring true.

It would appear that Lisa Riley, of Loose Women, was interested enough to visit Luz to check on the distance from apartment 5A to the Tapas restaurant.

ITV checks my IP address and refuses to play the clip in Portugal.  I don't think I'm missing much.   ?{)(**
