Individual Freedom To Run Ghouls Tours.  Is that enshrined in the Court of Human Rights?

9, 10 and 11 seem to cover it.

It's a pity it isn't compulsory to obtain the blessing of Madeleine's family to hold such events in the first place.

If that was carried to it's logical conclusion no-one would be allowed to even express an opinion on the case, including you, unless the McCann's approved of it. What a ridiculous suggestion.

Actions speak louder than words but I'm not in the least bit surprised you don't find the whole Luz Tour/Challenge distasteful & offensive to Madeleine.

I'm not the least bit surprised that you didn't respond to my comment on your peculiar censorship views, choosing instead to tell me what I think about the Luz Tour/Challenge. Just for the record I don't remember giving my opinion of them?

Since when has common courtesy been the same as censorship?

Do you find the Luz Tour/Challenge distasteful & offensive to Madeleine?  Why?

By your standards no unauthorised biographies should be written, 'The Moorside' should not be shown and Newspapers should get permission before writing their stories.  It sounds like censorship to me.

Agreed, a strange stance to take on a Miscarriage of Justice Forum.

Now you are using hyberbole. My reference was to tours, nothing else.
Both the McCanns & locals in Luz had already expressed their distaste for such events back in 2008.

I would hope that the producers of "The Moorside" had Shannon's permission to air the programme and guaranteed her access to counselling for the grief from her peer group which will undoubtedly follow.

Unfortunately, unlike accredited journalists, there is no code of ethics governing bloggers in respect of either words that they print or actions they undertake in connection with their subject.

It implies final moments/death. If it was your child, would you find the tours acceptable?

Your reference to tours of 2008 have no relevance whatsoever to what I do.

In 2008, fairly large numbers of tourists were being bussed in for a jolly gawk.  I note this includes visiting the church.

I have done one-on-one tours for people whom I know to have a high degree of expertise in the case, with no gawking whatsoever.  I have never visited inside the church, as I have no reason to believe it has any relevance to the case.  I have also consistently declined to do tours for people with no expertise in the case, for that would lead to gawking.

The experts involved have learned new insights from these visits, just as I have learned a considerable amount from them.

I would be happy to do such a tour for OG, since it appears they can't tell their elbow from their **** when it comes to logistics in Luz.  Maybe that would progress important facets, like the Smith sighting, or the potential for abduction.  Or perhaps they are going to continue to play armchair detectives in Belgravia.  Presumably the latter.
What's up, old man?

As the only person offering Tours is SIL that must be the person you believe is lacking in 'common courtesy' then. I can think of no reason why the McCann's permission should be sought I'm afraid. They placed the case in the public domain and must accept that others can say or do whatever they like so long as it's within the law.

Sorry probably not the right thread, but Hogan Howe said only back in April 2016 that it was essentially a Portuguese investigation and that they reviewed that investigation to see if they could help or had the Portuguese missed any thing,no need for OG officers to be there, the boot work had already been done.
