Wow!  What a lot of work you have done.  Well done Rob.

As you have reported, we know that some of the rules were broken at times.  I have only skimmed through your post, but two things struck me

1)   Kate signed as Kate Healey at one point (only one point).   Does that mean that someone who knew Kate well, before she and Gerry married, signed for her?   Who knew her well before she married Gerry?

Or couild it just be that Healey was her professional name that she never changed when she married?

2)   Robert Naylor giving various flat numbers.   Could it be that he was NOT staying at OC, but had a private agreement with one of the nannies that they looked after his child?   But to sign in and give any flat number ?   Perhaps some back handers were given?   Only a suggestion but he is a bit of a mystery to me.

Amaral calls Kate "Kate Healey".  I wonder what name was on her passport?  No picture of her passport but this document is signed KM Healey http://www.mccannpjfiles.co.uk/P1/01_VOLUME_Ia_Page_65.jpg, I think as far as one can decipher signatures.

About Robert Naylor we know virtually nothing.  I think that is why it is a mystery.  If the photos are correct on Google images I wonder if it is Robert Naylor who is being confused with Robert Murat late on the night of the 3rd May 2007.  They have similar features and common first name.

Her name was Kate Marie McCann  or prior to her marriage Kate Marie Healey.  So the KM could be Kate Marie or Kate McCann.

A Brit would not sign as Kate Marie IMO

She was initialling it as Kate Mccann.

However it is possible that professionally she is called by her maiden name .... and she might professionally sign medical documents Kate Healey.  Anyone know, if since marriage, she has worked at the same hospital as Gerry?

Retaining her maiden name could also be because she had made a bit of a name for herself within the Medical profession .. and she didn't want to lose that

All IMO.

Here we often use the first two initials when initialling a document.  eg RJ for myself
