I don't recall any DNA tests in the files on the bag.

The "source" may well have been in a voice in the reporter's head 2 minutes before the copy deadline.
Had you heard of the bag being found before now?  It seems to have some validity as it was covered in more than one newspaper.

A bag is mentioned here.

The tabloids got all excited about it at the time, some with heavy hints that it could be a) Gerry's alleged tennis bag or b) the PJ were closing in on them.

If it is the one in the files, the tabloids generally forgot to mention that it was a throwaway plastic shopping one...

Is it this item?  "To: The Coordinator of the Criminal Investigation

From: Inspector Nunes

Subject: Delivery of clothing by the Lagos GNR Brigade (disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

I bring to your knowledge that today at about 10.00 this police station received Soldier Pedro Silva from Lagos GNR who delivered a plastic bag with the logo "Alisuper" containing clothing.

The clothing was found in Colinas Verdres-Bensafrim, Lagos on 15-06-2007 by Mrs Nancy Burridge a resident of Praia da Luz (tel no.**********).

The bag was not opened, in order to conserve its contents, as Soldier Silva told us that it also contained hairs.

I bring this to your attention

Signed

Inspector Nunes"

I wonder if that is the same Pedro Silva who is disliked on the facebook groups?

That's the only bag that I've found that might be the one blasted all over the media.

Re the officer: I think you'll find that name is quite common in PT.

There is a Pedro Silva who is a "friend of the McCanns" I suppose whoever found this bag has taken an interest in the case from then on.  I must ask him if it was he who found the bag.

He is a friend of Kate McCann's mum and, seemingly, of Heriberto Janosch Gonzalez. They are both friends with Pamela Gurney and Heri is friends with Cass Sidebottom. No mistaking their agenda, it seems.

We will stop any further speculation about Pedro Silva, and anyone else he might appear to be "Friends" with.

Heriberto Janosch  is a member of this forum and I will not have Libellous Innuendo about him either.

A statement has been made that the named people are friends.
Surely some proof of this should be given.
If there is no proof then the post should be deleted?

Is Nancy Burridge, who found the bag, included in the group of cyber-friends?
