"normal police practice"
"would have"

Pure speculation unsupported by evidence.

Any evidence the McCanns or the rest of the T9 were re-interviewed?  Can I take that as a no?
are you suggesting SY have not interviewed the McCanns
You are prepared to believe something quite absurd

The interviews were non verbatim and translated ...in fact twice translated
It is obvious that SY would want to reinterview
Totally obvious and it is absurd to think they did not

Well, if the initial statements are as worthless as you seem to think they are nothing said four years later can replace them. Even one year later the T7 weren't sure if they really remembered something or if they had been influenced by discussions or newspaper articles.

Four years later Kate had her 'closed curtains fluttering in the breeze' story off pat, but the curtains were open in her first statement. Interviewing her again wouldn't sort that out.

So, is it your belief that not one member of the Tapas group has any further information to give the police than they have given already?

The initial statements are not reliable because they are non verbatim and twice translated
It is obvious to all who's minds are not totally closed that SY would want to read reinterview

Evidence is something that supports a statement

You have asked for evidence and I have given you some
Are you confusing evidence with proof

They can interview all they like but will never be able to replace those first interviews untainted by later developments.

I can only conclude from G-Unit's assertion that the Tapas Group have nothing more of value to add to the investigation that she has finally come to the realisation that none of them was involved in Madeleine's disappearance.

Still no evidence?

The re-interviewing of the McCanns or the rest of the T9 would have been big news in the media.  Was it? Or is there nothing?

If you don't understand what I'm saying you can always ask instead of making it up, you know. Having nothing new to add to their initial statements has nothing to do with the question of involvement, unless you can link the two somehow?

Why would Scotland Yard make a song and dance about reinterviewing The McCanns and Tapas 7?  They aren't forced to mention everyone they interview.

OG are obliged to mention no-one but those they choose to mention.

The media works differently.  They are 'obliged' to mention every twitch of the McCanns or the T7. Or to be more accurate, they prefer to.

The T9 also work differently.  At least the McCanns choose to broadcast as and when they feel the need.

Is there anything from OG, the media or the T9 about re-interviews?  I believe the answer is no.  I will be happy to be corrected if I am wrong.

It seems highly unlikely to me that they didn't.

Not necessarily - Kate's several visits to PdL over the years have gone completely unreported by the media.

With regard to interviews:

How do you think SY tackled questions which arose  - for instance - Gerry changed his statement re which door he used on 3 May but his reason for changing his statement is not recorded anywhere.         Do you think SY officers sat around debating back and forth why he did that - in the same way that we do here - or do you think that (along with probably loads of other questions SY had)  it would have been quickly cleared up during an interview with him?

The notion that innocence prevails over guilt – when there is no evidence to the contrary – is what separates civilization from barbarism.    Unfortunately, there are remains of barbarism among us.    Until very recently, it headed the PJ in Portimão. I hope he was the last one.

If the Met believed that member(s) of the Tapas Group were involved then very obviously there would be something new that one or more of them could add to their statements, indeed it would be inconceivable that the Met, suspecting parental involvement would NOT question one or more of them again, but you think they have not.  How odd.

Kate's last alleged visit was reported in the media.  But I can't find anyone here who spotted her.

Panorama plus media photogs have allegedly been in Luz recently, in anticipation of the 10th anniversary.  But I can't find anyone who spotted them.

Just like the presumed OG interviews, there is no evidence that these events occurred.
