Well, according to one of your fellow sceptics on this forum it is possible that JT has already spoken to the Met and given them important new information which would almost certainly require follow up interviews with the McCanns, Jez Wilkins and members of the Tapas group.  OG could hope to learn loads from re-interviewing the T9 if they believed there was some sort of cover up going on and members of the group were ready to crack, don't you think?
This is the sort of report I'm waiting for.  It must start with the T7 .  It will be something Kate and Gerry don't know about.
Trouble is that Jane has been given a bad wrap to begin with.  It would be different story had it come from her husband Russell. Even the SC couldn't leave Jane alone.  Jane says something and the McCanns pay the price.

I agree to some extent Rob.  Unfortunately for Jane, Tannerman was the one piece of evidence which gave the abduction theory life.  Redwood has taken that away by introducing the British tourist who was wandering around that night with his own child in his arms. Without Tannerman the abduction from the bedroom theory is bereft of any logic.

Some point to the open shutter and window but there is no evidence whatsoever that that occurred.  By the time witnesses arrived on the scene both were closed.

A malicious prosecution for a crime which never existed. An exposé of egregious malfeasance by public officials.
Indeed, the truth never changes with the passage of time.

We don't know what information Crecheman was able to give to SY to further their lines of investigation.

The Smiths have long since recanted of the view that the man they saw was Gerry.

In your mind. No other evidence exists.

So why did SY appeal to the public to identify Smithman from the efits?

The abduction is independent of the tanner sighting so is still valid

The abduction theory is bereft of any logic?!  Perhaps you would like to explain what is implausible or illogical about my abduction theory, as posted on the relevant thread, many thanks.

That is exactly why the other idea works. Open window open shutters - Forbidden word.  And this gives every reason why the people remove these features.  I think of Madeleine being taken from the OC facility rather than the room. So I don't need an abductor to enter the apartment, but there is an abductor all the same, for someone taking the kid from the gardens is still an abduction.

The Smiths have long since recanted of the view that the man they saw was Gerry.

Indeed Ferryman  -  and I don't think Mrs Smith would have any sympathy for the McCanns - let alone be heartbroken for them -if she thought they had anything to do with their daughter's disappearance.

Quote

This weekend,  Mr Smith's wife Mary told the Mail on Sunday her husband had no regrets about coming forward.

He [Martin] doesn't want to talk, said Mrs Smith. He said what he had to say. I was with him [that night]. We saw a man carrying a child and that's all we know. We told them all that and that's it.

''The man he saw had the same stature as Gerry McCann. We felt we had to help. We're happy we did. We reported exactly what we saw.

"We only did what we thought was right for a missing girl and our hearts are breaking for her parents, as it would be if it were one of ours.

''I feel very much for them [the McCanns]. I have six grandchildren of my own and six children of my own.

"The poor McCann family must be heartbroken.''
End quote

Quote from the Sunday Times

There was also an uncomfortable complication with Smith’s account. He had originally told the police that he had “recognised something” about the way Gerry McCann carried one of his children which reminded him of the man he had seen in Praia da Luz.

Smith has since stressed that he does not believe the man he saw was Gerry, and Scotland Yard do not consider this a possibility. Last week the McCanns were told officially by the Portuguese authorities that they are not suspects.

Gimme some truth  ?>)()<
Smithman carrying a child in his arms checked his watch after passing the Smith family and the time was 10:03. Both are still unidentified 10 years later.

Rather than the Sunday Times, how about a direct quote and verified, from Mr. Smith himself.

As to abduction, didn't Redwood say before he left the job..........................

' ..... the assumption that Madeleine was abducted "may not follow with all our thinking" on the case...'

...and the bed in this case, looked hardly disturbed at all, and certainly didn't look like someone had sat on it.
