Just to summarise, though the DM have said Death, the judgement doesn't appear to have mentioned it.

The statement is correct, though.  Court says McCanns haven't be cleared of anything so they cannot have been cleared of her death.
I believe everything. And l believe nothing.
I suspect everyone. And l suspect no one.
I gather the facts, examine the clues... and before   you know it, the case is solved!"

Thanks, that is why I was saying it was meaningless.

only to you.

The Greater British Public will take on board the message that Madeleine is dead.
That is message the DM makes without running foul of lawyers. Thus the headline is not meaningless.

No one has seen Madeleine for 10 years or so by law it is possible to claim she is dead.
IMO it's a dead cert.
There needs to be a death certificate.

So The Greater British Public won't bother to ask for proof?  That sounds like par for the course, if some Forums are anything to go on.

Who needs proof in The Court of Public Opinion.

well dont you think it has evened out a bit

there has been enough public opinion on here ...

stating the mccs were cleared of any wrong doing .when they wasn't
Always listen to both sides of the story before you judge.

The first storyteller you will always find has modified the story, for there benefit BE WISE.

It isn't about proof, it's about what people will believe.

That is why Bell Pottinger were employed to keep the McCanns on the front page.
That is why Mitchell was employed

Proof is for police and ultimately Law Courts.

That could have been a misunderstanding.  I never thought they were cleared, so I was surprised that was part of the Supreme Court case.  Everyone still has the right to be presumed innocent till proven guilty but you seem to advocate presumed guilty till proven innocent.

Who employed Bell Pottinger?  I don't think it was the McCanns.

Who employed Bell Pottinger?  I don't think it was the McCanns.

They were employed on their behalf, as were private detectives. Kennedy might have been the paymaster.

Fortunately Courts require a bit more than this, except in Portugal.  Although even Portugal have never arrested or charged The McCanns, let alone taken them to trial.
But then they knew they couldn't win.

As there is an on going criminal investigation, it is a bit premature to predict the outcome.
