Sadly, I think this will probably be the last throw of the dice, Davel.  There probably isn't anyone else still alive who might have had information for the police to act on.
No-one can say that they haven't done their best to resolve the case; nor have I ever seen any criticism of the fact that they had bothered; nor complaints about the cost of the searches which have been carried out.

I too find the orchestrated campaigns against continuing investigating Madeleine McCann's case quite extraordinary.
