there's nothing to deny, it's just media hyperbole, anyone who ise ever quoted in the press knows this - I gave an interview to a local paper last month and virtually everything it quoted me as saying was not verbatim and twisted slightly - very annoying but I'm not doing to insist they retract the article.

Read the link. First he says Madeleine couldn't possibly have been abducted by a paedophile then he says she probably has. He really does need to make his mind up. And you, if you request cites, really do need to read them properly.

Perhaps you need to re-read your own links properly and quote the bit where he says Madeleine couldn't possibly have been abducted by a paedophile.

Well yes obviously they have more than a clue, that;s not what I meant as well you know.  You're criticising Dave Edgar for not having a clue, but it seems if we're totally honest, no detective or police force does either.  Edgar has put forward his theories, the man is allowed to develop or change his theory depending on new information, or information rejected after further investigations, unless we're saying the mark of a truly great investigator is that they formulate a theory on day one and stick with it come hell or high water for 10 years (mentioning no names of course).

Found nothing, but crucially established that Kate and Gerry had nothing to do with Madeleine's disappearance, a fact that seems to have completely passed by the attention of the Supreme-Court judges.

To be fair, we actually have no idea what Dave Edgar has or hasn't found.  He may have uncovered a piece of information which, on the face of it, seemed totally irrelevant, passed it on to Op Grange and it have been of value when placed on the table with all the other "jigsaw" pieces.  The only reason this man is being mercilessly slagged by sceptics is because he is firmly of the view that Madeleine's parents didn't have a hand in her disappearance, not because of his alleged incompetence, stupidity or lack of pride or morals (all accusations levelled at him on this thread).
