An interesting postulation.
Considering there has been no resolution to the mystery you are in no position to say with any degree of certainty whether or not Sr Amaral's thesis has failed? What are you using as your bench mark for failure?
If you seriously believe that, say my belief that Sr Amaral could be right is manifesting itself as aid and succour to a kidnapper, who may or may not exist, then may be TocH has a position for you to fill.

Who is looking for Joana Cipriano?  Amaral also worked as coordinator on that missing child case.
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

The remit is worded in a manner to put them off-limits.

I dare say this may become problematical for some supporters if OG closes without finding evidence to support the notion of an abduction, but we will need to see what the outcome is before getting into debate about what it means.
You don't seem to understand that you are quoting your opinion as fact
The fact you don't understand the diference must be problematic for you
John has posted correctly that the remit can change with the evidence
Your understanding of the facts scores 0 out of 10

That is as maybe ... but if you would kindly note ... your opinion on that matter is not really up for discussion on this thread which is quite unambiguous in it's wording.
"Who is protecting Maddie's kidnapper"

Dave Edgar is of the opinion that Madeleine may have confided in someone ... I suggest that Madeleine and her kidnapper may be surrounded by those who are already 'in the know' and who have a vested interest in omerta.

In the absence of any indication confirming the speculation of some that Madeleine is dead ... consideration must be given to what might have happened to her and where she may be ... particularly if she is 'hidden in plain sight' aided and abetted by Amaral's theory and its adherents.

Opinion.

That's all.

Have you read John's earlier comment ?

P.S.  Can you remind me of Edgar's accomplishments in this case?

You are obsessed with Amaral, just like the Mccanns.

IMO naturally.

If I recall, Dave Edgar's only claim to fame is that he created a most uncomfortable moment for Gerry McCann and Jane Tanner during the farcical reconstruction which was filmed for Ch4.

His opinion of what happened to Maddie is just as much a pissing in the wind as anyone else's if the last ten years is anything to go by.

The Edgar and Cowley Team never provided any breakthrough in the disappearance so his opinion is just that, an opinion.

The remit raises an interesting question

Why was it produced

Does every investigation have a remit

Does anyone really know the answers to those questions

The reward offered by the Met was never for the safe return of Maddie so is there a very obvious clue there for all to see?  Add to that the comments by the Hogan-Howe when he made his famous Freudian slip that the missing girl (Maddie) was murdered.

That is so funny when on the post above you posted to Stephen:

..............................opinion on that [ off topic clearly what ever it was] is not really up for discussion on this thread which is quite unambiguous in it's wording.
"Who is protecting Maddie's kidnapper"

So when did that include Cipriano and Amaral?
Take the Cipriano haraz  to the place where it rightfully belongs.

Thirty + years in the RUC and Cheshire constabulary would perhaps give him slightly more experience of facing downwind when pissing in the wind than most of us would ever hope to have.

His experience of searching for Madeleine McCann in the Algarve possibly had more in parallel with his experience of Northern Ireland badlands while a serving officer with the RUC ... although he would have had no firearm for protection when working in the Algarve.

If Madeleine was kidnapped as Dave Edgar thinks she may have been he will have a fair idea of the type of individual capable of performing such an outrage.

Kidnapping was very much a tool of the trade used by a variety of perpetrators in his younger RUC experiences ... so give the man the respect he is due ... if he says he thinks Madeleine McCann was a kidnap victim ~ and more importantly, that she may well have survived and still be alive ... I think it is well worth giving his informed opinion the consideration it is due.

Did you understand that the remit is written regarding the review not the investigation

We already know what Edgar achieved last time.

While it can change, it has not.

As things stand, the McCanns are still off-limits. Fact.
What's up, old man?
