We are setting up a website - another friend is doing this, the postings jam jam have posted will help, there was lots of reports in the Liverpool echo, we kept it very low profile whilst the solicitor was preparing the appeal, maybe in hindsight we should have put this out there from the start, sorry for not being organised before I came on here?

Things like websites can take a while to do correctly but are useful for keeping the case in the public eye. Always try and keep the information on a website to a minimum.  When I set my first site up it took over a year to build but I built it from scratch designing my own graphics as I went. Nowadays you can use one of the free website providers such as webs.com which offer a basic but speedy service.

It is useful to have a forum to discuss the case though and that in itself can be a full-time occupation.  You are very welcome to showcase Darren's plight on here and direct interested parties directly to your site when you have it up and running and vice versa.
A malicious prosecution for a crime which never existed. An exposé of egregious malfeasance by public officials.
Indeed, the truth never changes with the passage of time.

Thank you John and Huggy for the welcome and info. I will look at the free website you mentioned, that's helpful.
I have been reading so many different websites, some put almost everything on, such as prosecution statements etc others are brief Will the info I have put on move to the miscarriage of justice section? It is very much  like a full time occupation, I'm finding I'm home from work, on the net searching for him, before you know it,  it's 11pm, day in day out. Ive collected all the case papers from the solicitors so they are safe and to hand for me, I really do appreciate the guidance.  8(0(*

Hi Crabtree.  I am not aware of this case but find it to be quite interesting from what you have already described.  Do you know Darren well enough to be sure of his innocence?  This is crucial in taking his case forward.  Far too many times we see spouses and parents pleading for their loved ones out of sentiment and not reality.
De troothe has the annoying habit of coming to the surface just when you least expect it!!

Je ne regrette rien!!

Hi Davy, yes I understand your comments, I have been reading the case of the bloke who denied killing his wife, her body was never discovered, Sandra Lean was involved in protesting his innocence alongside His new girlfriend and the he admitted it!! I am not blinded by love and know Darren very well. I am mindful of the fact that someone lost their life here devastating a family, but Darren was not the gunman. The ID parade was always a sticking point but was hard to argue before a jury, it's never easy to suggest to a jury, some police are bent and corrupt, that can go down like a lead ball on, so the defence team had to tread carefully. When Darren gee sent the Xmas card stating the police told him what Darren was wearing, and then provided a statement to that effect, it all clicked into place. He actually said in his statement Darren Waterhouse was not the gunman, the gunman was now dead!! I have not put the whole case up, just snippets, otherwise it would become a book.  ?{)(** if you look after Craig's death, people were being killed pretty soon after, an underlined suggestion it was linked or acts of retribution. Darren gee is serving for murder, the other occupant mark Richardson also serving for murder for Mikey Wright, a name on the list supplied to police who was involved in the death of Craig. These " prosecution witness" were active in a huge way in the criminal world, mark Richardson is connected to Tony Richardson, who dated Jennifer Ellison, and had a huge contract on his head. This is all in the public domain. Why won't the CPS disclose the 999 call, I'm told its quite common in defence cases for these transcripts to be served, why not here? Raises the suspicion greatly, the police had lost control due to the high amount of shootings and I feel they just wanted to show they were in control and wrapped up the wrong person. Darren had extensive firearms expertise, travelled to Liverpool so must be him. Darren's co- d, john, pleaded, William I believe has now accepted his role in prison, Darren refuses to engage with the prison service on sentence planning meetings and still maintains his innocence. I've read on a campaign site it's worth writing to the local MP, I'm not sure if that will help but I guess if you don't ask.....if we don't try he will spend 30 years plus in jail, as he will never accept responsibility for this he will serve beyond his tariff.

I'm still reading up on the case Crabtree but in respect of the non disclosed 999 call, if you are sure that such a recording exists you can take a court action to force the police to hand it over.  I believe this has been managed recently in other cases.

The Freedom Of Information act might also be used to force the CPS to release the 999 recording.
