I suspect many individuals, especially those who are fighting and campaigning for alleged false allegations of HSA see someone like Trudi Benjamin as out of touch.

Yet the following excerpt is from Mark Newby’s 2012 speech (Given at the Richard Webster Memorial Lecture on the Danger of False Allegations in Society and their impact)

Let us turn firstly to keep focused on the subject matter of this talk to the impact of false allegations on society and the current state of affairs we find ourselves in.

We have today a substantial imbalance in Society and the Spectre of Sexual Allegations has become nothing short of frenzy. Cases such as Savile and the Rochdale Abuse Cases feed into creating an atmosphere where all abuse allegations are almost assumed to be true without question.

The reality is that in modern society Salacious Sexual Allegations sell newspapers, they get Politicians votes, the allegations support a whole industry that has built up supporting the investigation and compensation of “victims of abuse”.

The perverse nature of the spectacle means that often the falsely accused and the genuine victim can become lost in the middle.

“Today a story appeared on the Front Page of the Mirror concerning the Case of Jeremy Bamber and this is our statement in relation to that
We confirm we act on behalf of Jeremy Bamber and have seen the article now published by the Mirror which we contributed to .
Further we can confirm that we are working with Jeremy's dedicated support team to build an extensive package of grounds including the evidence referred to in the Mirror so that we can provide the Criminal Cases Review Commission a set of grounds of appeal upon which it can make a swift referral back to the Court of Appeal .

That also relies upon obtaining further disclosure which is currently being sought .

This is a complex case and if successful would be one of the U.K.'s most notorious miscarriages of justice .

We do not propose therefore as Jeremy's legal team  to further elaborate on the grounds to be advanced or other actions that may be imminent at this stage , however we expect to make a further statement in the coming weeks .

Message from Jeremy Bamber

Jeremy would like to extend his appreciation to everyone who has contacted him and the campaign with kind messages of support following the front-page news article on Saturday the 19th of October, regarding the call logs evidence. 
"It is these many of messages of support and goodwill I have received from you all that keeps me focused and determined to correct my wrongful and unlawful conviction. A big thank you also to Matthew Young and the Daily Mirror for enabling the public at large to read the truth about just one of the ways Essex Police, and the prosecution manipulated the case against me.
The public reaction to this new alibi evidence being released makes me smile knowing how much more evidence of my innocence has been uncovered on every aspect of my case which has yet to be put into the public arena.
I’m currently working hard with my legal and campaign team to achieve a referral to the Court of Appeal as soon as possible. I feel excited at what the future holds, and I will be able to share more news with you in the next few weeks."
