What would anyone feel if this was their father....would they completely turn against their father and never speak to him again

I suppose it all depends on so many factors.  These images were collected and made over a long period of time however, this was not a moment of madness.  He knew exactly what he was doing and what the consequences of doing it were.  It's a wonder he was caught at all, anyone know how that came about?

Well if it were my father.he would loose my trust.

I would also wonder how he looked at my daughters. a child is a child who ever they are.

Some crimes you can't, just walk away from.

What he did is one of them. I myself could never look at him as the respected father again.

That would be gone forever.

I have read in various articles there are monitoring services now employed to catch them.

e.g. In today's papers.

Even if his grandchildren were safe from him, could the same be said for friends of the grandchildren? 
Don't see how he could really be trusted in the future.

If it had been a affair with an adult, then i would try an understand why.

That's the point I've been trying to make. No-one would want him to have unsupervised access to any children ever again imo. Even if he had brought me up and never done anything to me, I wouldn't allow him to be with my children because he is now a different person.

I'm just wondering how we would react if it was a member of our family..... would we want them to get therapy or sent to prison to be beaten by other prisoners
