There are similarities, but there's two differences which have, in my opinion, extended this thread. As far as I could see, no-one on that thread tried to argue that there was no connection with the Madeleine McCann case. Also, there was no documented connection between the guilty person and those who post here.

The faux outrage is the people misunderstanding your original post which IMO was fairly clearly talking about Nessling viewing pictures on the internet and not as some would have us believe someone posting Nessling’s pictures after the event.

In common with thousands of others ... sorry scrub that ... he is known and where he is living is known, that in itself is not usual.
Now that he is prime fodder to vigilante attacks I think that is what is more likely to cause harm to his children than anything else.  So when punting the 'rights of children' maybe the rights of his nearest and dearest should be considered.

You clearly don't understand how these sexual predators work Brietta.  Have you ever heard of the term 'grooming'?  These men groom children over a long period of time, they gain their trust and make it all seem normal. The child doesn't know any better and it is only when they get older that they realise that they have been abused. So claiming that your children would eat him for breakfast is rather naive if you don't mind me saying.

People are embarrassed now that the truth is known about what sort of a person Nessling really is. The vitreol and hate spewed out by him should have been a warning to his followers that the man had underlying issues.

If spewing vitriol and hate is some kind of proof that the poster has underlying issues then what does that say about those who have been spewing vitriol and hate against the McCanns and their supporters for the last 10 years.    There are forums that do very little else.

For which he went through due process of being charged ... to which he pled guilt ... tried ... found guilty and sentenced.  'Grooming' was not on the charge sheet.

Very difficult to ignore repeated accusations of being not concerned with child abuse.
I guess it was a tactic to persuade me to engage again  with his thread The  offensive post was rightly removed yesterday and now the same accusations again.

My reference to grooming was in response to your claim that your own children could never fall prey to sexual predators, that in my opinion is a very naive position to take.  Even as adults they could still fall victim to these beasts.
