I disagree, that power in my opinion only lies with the Portuguese authorities.

it all depends what you mean by power....they are inestigating and if they can find the evidence they could solve the case...unlikely but not impossible. It seems posters resent the involveemnt of SY and wish to denigrate them. one of the reasons they are there is because it was felt by the uk govt that they could help...all my opinion

An eight-year-old British boy has been found safe and well today after disappearing from Praia da Luz – the same resort Madeleine McCann went missing from – earlier today.

Police immediately launched a search operation when the youngster was reported missing from the Portuguese town.

A search team was launched and the Policia Judiciaria – the same force deployed to find Maddie McCann – had a specialist team on the case in Lisbon before they learned of the boy’s safe return.

GNR officers also conducted house-to-house enquiries in Lagos, a town close to Praia da Luz, in an effort to find the child as soon as possible.

Although the circumstances of his discovery are not yet clear, a source said that he showed up at the police station in Lagos around 4pm, having been missing since midday.
