IMO the Portuguese Courts must have a very good reason for not freeing Amaral's seized assets & that may be nothing directly to do with the McCann case.

If you are saying a forum owner has multiple accounts, I can’t see how that is libellous. Most fora have anonymous posters who could be anyone.

I was thinking more of putting words in the mouths of others when your freedom of speech is restricted. Nothing to do with how many accounts a discussion forum owner may have.  8)--))

How reliable is that claim?
Sr Amaral's assets remaining frozen and the McCanns not paying a penny are not of necessity interdependent.
The Portuguese legal system may operate a right of set off which allows the holding of the funds pending the result of another case being pursued through the Portuguese legal system.
The McCanns owe any monies to the Portuguese courts not Sr Amaral or the other defendants in the failed libel/damages case.

It has nothing to do with the ECHR but everything to do with Portuguese legal bureaucracy.  I wiill see what we can find out next week.
