Actually Davel, I learned a huge amount when I visited Portugal tp see for myself.

A great deal of what I found was in the Porto region though, because I was mainly looking at what happened to Madeleine afterwards .... and it led me to Porto.

Rob has an enquiring mind and is very thorough.  He might find some new things.  Like I did.

Stuff that no-one had even thought of before nor even now.

I noticed tonight that our facebook page post promoting your initiative has been very active and has attracted a huge amount of comments from across the spectrum, most of which have been constructive.  The good thing about facebook being that the majority of the posters are identifiable.  Over 440 people reached is a great start!

Tip: It usually takes one or two initial donations to get these things started Rob.

I notice you are coming in for a bit of stick from some on Facebook but I wouldn't worry about it.  What they don't understand is that your trip is multi aspect and involves much more than just searching for clues.

Does he speak English?  I'd imagine he is too important to talk to me.  I've tried to find him in the Facebook community, he is there but I'm never accepted.  Maybe if I speak with Pedro do Carmo I might get an introduction to Amaral.

He isn't hard to find and as he is retired I'm sure he'd be glad to chat with you but you will need someone who is bilingual.  I'm sure one of our Portuguese-based members could help you there.  There are several others who come to mind should be on your target list too.

As far as Amaral goes I'd like to know his current theory.  John would you like to make a new post on the FB account to see what the FB community think of your idea of meeting Goncalo Amaral?

The You Caring page has been pulled by You Caring, fortunately the donations are in the Paypal account.  I will set up an alternative if I find something better.  Thanks for the assistance so far.

Didn't YouCaring state that your project was incompatible with their own ideals or words to that affect.  Clearly you have been targeted and YouCaring are more interested in protecting their own reputation than they are interested in the fate of a single child who disappeared ten years ago.

They are the owners and in the end they did have a point,  there were some clauses that could be applied and I just had to accept it.  There must have been pressure though.
