That is most dismissive of you.  If Amaral misled the entire nation of Portugal by  convincing them that he had proof that Madeleine died in the apartment when clearly he did not, then I would say that’s quite a serious matter and not beside the point at all.  It is neither a belief, nor an opinion that Amaral did not prove Madeleine died in the apartment, it’s a fact supported by the police report when the case was archived.
Who said Amaral misled the entire nation?
What's up, old man?

Who is of the opinion (apart from the great man himself) that Amaral PROVED Madeleine died in the apartment?

Most of Portugal, from what I have seen.  They are also entitled to their opinion.

You are still not being accurate.

You appear to be of the opinion that Madeleine did not die in 5A.

Others are entitled to hold the opinion that she did.

This is simply a re-run of McCanns v Amaral, which the McCanns lost.

You still don't understand
Maddie may or may not have died in 5a
There is no proof either way
That is, a, fact
Amaral claims he produced proof she died... He didnt
Therefore amaral is, wrong..

If you are going to respond to my posts, as you have please, address the pont Re, amarals, claim of proof

I have given no opinion.  I have simply pointed out a fact, a fact substantiated by the police both in the current investigation and the original one, and that is that there is no proof that Madeleine died in the apartment, which is contrary to Amaral’s claim that he proved she did die in the apartment.  Which bit of what I wrote is incorrect?

It seems to me to be a matter of opinion. Amaral may have believed he proved that Madeleine died in the apartment. His Portuguese audience may have agreed with him. The McCanns appear to have believed they had been cleared by the archiving dispatch. Some people believe it's been proved that Madeleine was abducted.

That is the whole point... Amaral certainly did believe he proved death in the apartment... But he didn't... It isn't a matter if opinion... It's a matter of fact

In my opinion it's a fact that nothing has been proved by anyone. This thread, for example, has shown that there is certainly not reliable circumstantial evidence of abduction, let alone proof.

Then you have agreed that amarals claim ti have proved Maddie died in the apartment is false

In my opinion it would depend on his definition of proof.

So amaral now, has, his own personal definition of proof... So I can say there is proof of abduction and you will support me

It's all opinion. The police and the CPS charge people with crimes because they think they can prove their guilt beyond reasonable doubt. Sometimes they succeed and sometimes they fail. When they fail it's because a judge and/or jury disagree with their opinions.

IYO he didn't, but of what value is your opinion?

This is a small forum of English-speaking people.  Consequently opinions on here influence next to nothing.  One might as well shout at the wind.

The battleground is Portugal, and I have yet to see a current news article which is supportive of the McCanns or OG.

The last was coverage of extra funding for OG.  It got panned by over 90% very unhappy to less than 10% very happy.

Portuguese opinion is hostile to the McCanns and OG.

Your opinion is neither here nor there.  As is mine.  So I would rather sunbathe for 5 minutes than go round another iteration of a totally unimportant point.

If it's unimportant to you why have you made so many replies to my posts... Why not simply ignore them..
We decided a long time ago that no ones, posts or opinions, make any difference so it's pointless you repeating something  we are all aware of
There us no battleground  as you put it.... The opinion of the vast majority of Portuguese is, also now unimportant...it's done and dusted
As you think posting is pointless please stop at any time

I disagree.  In my opinion 'proof' requires to be supported independently by evidence and not solely on any individual's subjective definition.
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....
