So why 5a and not any other apartment?

It might seem like that as described by Vertigo Swirl but there was no investigation before and after in the other apartments so we really have no way of comparing 5A to the other apartments.

The pj forensic team we're all over only 5a and the mccanns car... They have a poor record on cross contamination... No white suits etc.  If one of then had visited a mortuary are another case cross contamination  could be a real possibility

The digs did not alert initially  in 5a according to the pj ...same as in the other, apartments... As regards the car the dog ignored that too until being called back
