Fair point, can't argue with that - but for this theory Madeleine was in her bed, very much alive. The disturbance on the Tuesday was from a known origin.
Known?
What are you doing to find Madeleine?

We were talking about the reason for Madeleine getting out of bed on Tues. night, Sadie; Amelie's crying was the known reason for the disturbance.

Was this before or after the parents arrived home?

I believe Madeleine was disturbed by her sister in the middle of the night when the family were asleep.
The remit of Operation Grange is to investigate ...  "(as if the abduction occurred in the UK)"
