Yes, if the 3rd one is near a man in a dark top with a white logo on his back - toward extreme right of photo. I cannot see a lamp near the children's bedroom window

That lamp is near to the car park entrance which they used to check (you can see the end of the white wall) so there would be light in that car park. Definitely enough light IMO to see a raised shutter and an open window.

The Children's bedroom is very clear in the picture, the outside of the apartment has had some building work, the bedroom window runs flush with the outside wall now.

That's because there isn't one and that is why some time after Madeleine's disappearance a flood light appeared mounted above Mrs Fenn's alcove balcony overlooking the car park.

Should you feel so inclined you can dick about with Google Earth which clearly shows lighting column positions as at Feb 2015.
Given a kerbstone is 914mm long you will not even have to take your socks off to count uphow many kerbstones etc to have a sense check. Lighting olumns are on about 30metre centres as a good roughing in guide. No doubt the municipality will have records if the whole lot were relocated after May 2007.
One other thing the clue is in the title: "Street Lighting".....

The apartment looked nothing like this on the night in other words!  Where have all the trees gone?

I don't think so,  the layout of the apartment is exactly the same as it was in 2007, but the exterior of the apartment has changed.  The front door exterior of the property has all been bricked in, so you can't see into the patio area where the front door was.

That is the kitchen window. The children's bedroom window is opposite the car park next to the Oldfield's bedroom window.
