So the police (Amaral) never said blood had been found in the car, or put that as evidence to Kate McCann, is that the arguement now?

Perhaps you have a cite for whatever it is that you're suggesting?

I’m asking a question not stating a fact.  Do we now have to provide cites for questions fgs??!

So sorry. It sounded like a statement to me. I don't know the answer, do you?

According to Kate McCann in her book, this is precisely what Paiva did, showed her the dog videos, said blood had been found in the car which matched Madeleine’s  and asked her to explain it.

I thought it was more statement than question. Kate McCann also claimed the police offered her a deal. Her own lawyer denied that claim, as well as the PJ.

But.  But.  But...

We are regularly told that the police use deception when interrogating suspects, so can anyone explain why, when showing Kate the dog videos, the police would not claim the dogs were alerting to Madeleine’s blood...?  Are they all far too honest for such underhand behaviour in that thar Portugal?

Maybe they did, but Amaral's claim about the files appears to be correct.

Cite for her own lawyer denied it

That explains the outrage 10 days ago, on the evening that Gerry and Kate McCann were declared formal suspects, or arguidos, in the disappearance of their daughter. Police were still questioning Gerry McCann when, already, his sister Philomena was telling Sky they had offered Kate McCann a reduced two-year sentence if she admitted to killing her daughter accidentally, hiding the body and then secretly disposing of it weeks later.

On this occasion the police officers were right to be angry. Like many things said about the McCann affair over the past days and months, the story was wrong. There was no offer of a plea bargain. It had all been "a misunderstanding", the McCann lawyer, Carlos Pinto de Abreu, explained the following day.
