No I do not accept that I’m wrong because I’m not. For, I assume, at least four months Oakley cannot have been passing anything of relevance to the directors of the fund. They were not listening to the phone calls from the helpline and the file was only made public in July, right about the time the directors are alleged to start having their doubts about Oakley so they could not have been following leads from that. So where was the ‘progress’ coming from that Kate claims ?
Kate explains what progress was made in her book, see quote above that both you and I have quoted. "Oakley had put in place systems to gather, collate, prioritize and follow up the information coming in as a result of the appeals Gerry and I made around the first anniversary of Madeleine's abduction" - that is the progress. The fact that he did not do anything with the information coming in is when the alarm bells started ringing. Does it really need spelling out?
