DNA  from the girl has been found on a sofa in the suspect's house, where he lived with parents.  It is not known whether the girl was taken there, or whether the DNA is due to transfer.  There is more information in the link if you are interested.

Thank you for the link. Hopefully Lelandais will tell all in the course of time. I find this case more distressing than most for some reason.

Update in CdM today, at http://www.cmjornal.pt/portugal/detalhe/malys-tinha-maxilar-partido-em-dois?ref=HP_Grupo1

Maelys' body has now been returned to her parents, for her funeral.

Lelandais is in court today.  This is to cover the autopsy findings.  The upper jawbone of Maelys (the part that holds your upper teeth) had been broken in two.  Lelandais will be asked to explain this.

Lelandais is claiming that the death was involuntary.  He says he gave Maelys a slap, then she became unresponsive, and that he panicked.

The link has more.
What's up, old man?
