Just been reading about the case.

Autistic paedo with lockdown rage, felt suicidal & was angry at his bedridden grandad for being a paedo too, but rather than just topping himself, he brutally slits his grandfathers throat, stabs him in the eyes & face.

Lovely, yeah, he's not a danger to the public or anything. The judge needs to be chucking him in the slammer for life really, I mean, would you ever want to live next door to him?

Bit rubbish that we only get to see the judge sentencing, but it's some progress I suppose.

Life with a minimum of just 9 years for such a brutal murder? Ridiculous .

Our justice system is a joke.

Did you listen to the judges sentencing remarks?  An absolutely tragic case, for all involved.

I wouldn’t put any money on him getting out after nine years.

Yeah I did, the grandad was nasty to the grandmother, other family members wanted to kill him (seriously, how bad was this guy?)

A horrible case & the way in which he killed his grandfather was sadistic. I find it hard to believe people, whole families, can be that messed up.

Don't get me wrong, I've have had people in my life I've had problems with, but the thought of stabbing them in the eyes never entered my mind. There are some seriously messed up people in our society, like the guy who just saw fit to stab a 9 year old girl to death in the street the other day. Depraved.

The poor lad was a victim and should have been sent to Broadmoor where he would have received proper treatment.  The law can be a real ass sometimes.

The sentencing (Live on the 28th Oct. 2022) of Jemma Mitchell for the murder of Malaysian-born Mee Kuen Chong...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MorKKuVlbow

The details... https://www.itv.com/news/london/2022-10-28/evil-headless-body-killer-to-be-sentenced-on-tv

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11364721/Australian-osteopath-Jemma-Mitchell-decapitated-friend-stuffed-body-suitcase.html

Jemma Mitchell's house, No.9 Brondesbury Park, Brent, (in 2021 enclosed with scaffolding as mentioned by the judge) where she was seen on CCTV leaving and returning with a large blue suitcase used to hide Mee Kuen Chong's body.  You can adjust the timeline top left and click on the thumbnail image to see the house changing appearance over the years... originally two-storey in 2014/15, then later three after Jemma Mitchell and her mother employed builders to enlarge it but ran into financial problems which eventually led to the murder...

I must say I think this is a good idea for helping Joe Public gain a better understanding of the careful reasoning behind sentences.

Of course, it won't help the blood pressure of your average daily mail reader, brainwashed into believing that soft lefty woke judges just make up them up on the hoof or those that don't understand the difference between murder and manslaughter but at least they are available for the curious.

What an absolutely tragic case btw. I hope the young man gets some help and is able to live some kind of life in the future although I fear he is already damaged beyond repair and must remain locked away.

As for that greedy "christian" woman, they can throw away the key for all I care.

Wouldn't you have thought that ever since John Reginald Christie buried two of his victims in the back garden of 10 Rillington Place in the 1940-50s, successive murderers would have more sense than to do exactly the same?...
