Roberto Carlos, namorado de Lídia, é suspeito de envolvimento no rapto simulado do pequeno Daniel. A PJ vai agora tentar reconstituir onde andou em janeiro passado, quando Daniel desapareceu do Estreito da Calheta, da casa dos familiares de Lídia Freitas.
A relação de ambos não é recente. Poderia já existir na altura em que o menino desapareceu, pretendendo Lídia angariar uma boa quantia que lhe possibilitasse mudar de vida. Sair do casebre da Calheta, na Madeira, e juntar-se ao novo companheiro. Lídia, que ontem saiu em liberdade do Tribunal de Instrução Criminal, continua em silêncio sobre o envolvimento de terceiros. A jovem recusou prestar declarações à juíza. Não disse a quem ia vender a criança, nem quem a ajudou a planear o negócio.
A investigação da PJ poderá ser demorada. O objetivo é consolidar provas do envolvimento de Lídia e só a seguir avançar para a captura do intermediário. Os destinatários do bebé são mais difíceis de apanhar. Serão estrangeiros. Entretanto, também ontem soube-se que Lídia estará novamente grávida. Não se sabe se do novo companheiro se do anterior, Carlos, mas o seu estado de saúde, aliado à sua tenra idade, terá levado a que a juíza a libertasse.
Além do termo de identidade e residência, Lídia terá ainda de se apresentar duas vezes por semana no posto de polícia local. Não pode sair da Madeira sem autorização do tribunal. O inquérito irá continuar, mas só pelo crime de tráfico de pessoas. O tribunal entendeu que não havia indícios do sequestro agravado, já que o crime prevê a falta de consentimento do próprio. Como o menino tinha apenas 18 meses, não poderia então dar ou não consentimento, o que levou a magistrada a retirar esse crime dos indícios apresentados pelo procurador.
