Looking for the Garden for Joanna yeates ........

--- Quote ---A medical day garden has also been set up outside the building to provide a therapeutic outdoor space for patients.

Sculptural screens have been created by Jacqueline Poncelet and are set up alongside seats within the garden to give patients somewhere to sit and appreciate the garden. The screens depict a pattern of gingko leaves - known for its medicinal properties.

Also in the medical day garden is a stone water feature sculpted by artist Peter Randall. A boulder sculpted to create a ripple effect is set within a circle of pebbles.

--- Quote ---Annual design prize to be set up in landscape architect’s memory

BDP’s Bristol studio has announced a series of memorials for their late colleague Joanna Yeates, who was found dead on Christmas Day.

Studio head Keith Pavey said a small garden of remembrance would be created at the office where the landscape architect worked, as well as a book of remembrance which would include an anthology of her work.

The practice will also sponsor an annual landscape design prize in her memory for students at the University of Gloucestershire School of Landscape & Environment.

And a sponsored cycle ride between BDP’s offices will be dedicated to her, with all proceeds being donated to charities chosen by Joanna’s parents and boyfriend. The ride is planned to take place in late spring as one of several events to mark BDP’s 50th anniversary.

Pavey said: “It is now over seven weeks since Jo was so tragically taken from us and it is still difficult to come to terms with her untimely and unnecessary death.

“We have been overwhelmed by the many messages of condolence and sympathy we have received from our clients and colleagues in the construction industry.

“We will not forget Jo and we hope these things will collectively become a lasting tribute to her.”

Last month the client of the last project Joanna worked on - Southmead Hospital in Bristol - said it was considering incorporating a memorial into the gardens she was involved in designing.

No more updates on this prize that apparently is given yearly in memory of Joanna Yeates..

BDP too appear to have Forgotten that Their Cycle race was in Memory Of Joanna Yeates only the year before and do not give her a mention...

CYCLE RIDE FROM EDINBURGH TO LONDON FOR MISSING PEOPLE
14/06/2012

--- Quote ---Following the success of our Cycle for Jo relay across the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands last May, BDP has maintained a strong relationship with Missing People by continuing to raise funds through various events.  In April, BDP’s Caroline Stassen, Poppy Emuss and Barney Bonner completed the London marathon and taking on this cycle challenge are Phil Gray and Scott McNeely.  We are also redesigning the offices of Missing People as a donation led project using our skills and expertise, with the help of our colleagues in the industry.

I would have thought a mention would be appropriate as apparently it was done in her honour...

How did BDP forget so soon Joanna Yeates after they said they launched "Cycle for Jo".. In Joanna Yeates honour??  That is a little disrespectful...
