Does his bad reputation need reinforcing.  He is already a convicted sexual abuser

You're only focusing on the negatives. If he's reached the age of 47 & only committed roughly 10 sex offences, then that's less than one a year. In reality he has spent more time in his life not raping people than raping them.

He's certainly going through a dry period at the moment. Offence-free since 2017

Prison is obviously what it takes, sad to say.

Indeed, & I think we can safely predict it will be a great many years before he sexualy assaults anyone else. Fellow inmates not included.

Does anyone know when Brueckner's current sentence runs out?

I seem to remember reading either 2025 or 2027, but I could be wrong.

Madeleine McCann suspect Christian Brueckner will see 46 witnesses speak during his trial over 'multiple rapes and child sex offences'
Some 46 witnesses – including half a dozen former girlfriends – were summoned
Three women will take to the stand including his first lover, on April 10

According to the schedule, which is spread over 29 days, three women will take to the stand including his first lover, Silke Becker, on April 10.

Brueckner fled Germany to live in Portugal with Ms Becker in the mid nineties, and in doing so failed to complete a prison sentence for child sex crimes.

Prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters said: 'While the focus right now is on the trial in February, I am still heavily involved in the Madeleine case.

'There is no major new evidence to report, but things are moving forwards.'

"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

So he will be approximately 50 if and when any new sentences start, which is when Consecutive and Concurrent could become important.

Due to the severity of the attack on Behan, under section 66 of the German criminal code, the panel of judges will have the option of sentencing Brueckner to an ‘incapacitation order’, or effectively a permanent life sentence.

While the legal process against Brueckner ticks ever closer, the German prosecutor is keen to stress the investigation into his alleged abduction of Maddie is still ‘very much ongoing’.

“While the focus right now is on the trial in February I am still heavily involved in the Madeleine case,” said Wolters, who has recently been promoted to running a team investigating organised crime.

“There is no major new evidence to report, but things are moving forwards,” he added.

Someone mentioned, I can't remember who, that he could have taken Madeleine to sell.  So still a vestige of hope in there somewhere.  Although why I still cling to this I really don't know.

Former Met detective Colin Sutton told the Mirror: “The Mauritania line is certainly a possibility and needs to be looked at.

“If someone wanted to get a three-year-old child into Africa it’s the obvious route.

“The infrastructure and contacts for people smuggling are clearly there.”

It is unclear if police investigating Madeleine’s disappearance have looked into links to Mauritania, however private detectives hired by the McCanns reportedly believe there are “strong reasons” to think she was taken to Morocco, a route into the country.

Four days after Madeleine disappeared from her family's holiday apartment in the Algarve resort of Praia da Luz, a traveller told Crimestoppers they saw a girl that looked like Madeleine travelling from Tarifa to Tangier.

Two days after that, a tourist reported seeing a girl “identical” to Madeleine with a man in Marrakech, looking sad and asking the man with her: "Can we see mummy soon?"

A Full Life Sentence would be good.  That would be Brueckner done and dusted.

However, if he only abducted Madeleine then he would have something with which to bargain.  She says yet again.
